I homeschool my son who is on the spectrum. SS or history is the hardest subject to teach with a hands on learner. This book is awesome and I back it up with online videos. Keep in mind it is very parent involved, but that is what I love about it.

Not as expected!

Invaluable classroom resource! My students enjoy the activities and really get into the arts integration. The lessons integrate solid geographic knowledge as well as arts objectives. I've been able to work with the music and art teachers at my school to increase my students' engagement and extend the lessons beyond my classroom. Sarah Giese is apparently an excellent curriculum developer and really knows how to hook students. She must have more books out there. Where can I get more???
