Sub Sports Does it Again in Thermal Mode!
So, I've done a few reviews on the Sub Sport 'regular' compression tights and full sleeved shirts, which I love. I've had a chance to give them a workout and I have to tell you, the fit, the level of muscular compression, the design are all great.Satisfaction with the regulars led me to want to give the thermals a try. I don't necessarily live in 'cold' weather most of the year, but I do like getting out early while there's still a chill in the air. I figured the thermals could help there in getting me warm faster and keeping me there longer. Guess what? I was right!I did expect being thermals, the material used would be heavier, possibly less flexible. Guess what? I was wrong! I am glad I was wrong. The thermal version of these amazing compression tights feel almost as light as the regular version, and even though they are lined with a nice fleece-like lining, the give feels right. These are extremely comfortable, look great, feel great and best of all, my workouts are just getting better and better. My recovery time is less as a little after workout stretching wearing these gets me feeling ready for the world again in no time.People wondering about sizing... I say start with what you normally do in pant sizes for waist fit,but keep in mind what the rest of you looks like too. I mean, I'm tall (6'2"), long legs on the muscular side, waist size between 33-34, so I went with a large. Guess what? I was right. I'm very please with the fit. Once I'm in them, there's no 'adjustments' needed... they stay put even for me and my workouts usually involve lots of flexibility repetitions. To conclude, I think Sub Sports regular compression and cold weather thermal compression tights and shirts are amazing! The style is right, the colors are right (love my blues, guys!), and the price is right... can't beat that!

Painted-on Second Skin Feel - Very warm in freezing temps
I have several of the Sub Sports garments, including the more expensive "Freeze" thermals. These appear just as warm as the Freeze, which are twice the price, but they are sooo much more snug in the legs and rear (waist and crotch are fine)! My gal asked if they were "painted on" because they are that tight. I ordered my usual size, per the size chart, and these fit like second-skin, more so than other Sub products. In fact the ankles were so tight, it took several minutes to get them over my heels. Once on, they feel great, and are quite warm... too warm for sitting still in 50+F temps, but they worked very well during the overnight, when outside temps dipped into the mid-30's F. As you move, they "breathe" to allow a little air-flow and moisture control. Sitting still, and the fibers lock out the air and hold onto heat extremely well. Sitting by the fire, I was toasty-warm wearing these along with jeans and a wool sweater, while others were wrapped in sleeping bags and parkas :)For reference, I'm not a bulky guy... 33" waist, athletic (toned) build, but not bulky thighs or calves. I normally wear Medium in Sub Sports and M or L in Tesla Gear leggings. I have broad shoulders and long arms (and a little extra in the gut), so I prefer XL in most compression tops. I would suggest most people order a size up from your normal, unless you are a serious runner or outdoors-type that prefers second-skin fit/feel. I could have easily worn a large in these leggings without issue. I also think an XXL top would be far less constrictive, yet still work well at heat retention and moisture control in this version?

Amazing product for incredibly cheap
Have been using these for a couple years now and they are amazing. These have allowed me to survive in the winter of the Pacific Northwest and the Northeastern U.S. as well as northern European winter (including Iceland) and even New Zealand! Beyond the name-dropping, this basically means that I was able to only wear these and a pretty thick pair of snow pants in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Fahrenheit or about -23 degrees Celsius and feel relatively comfortable in terms of leg temperature. If I had only had the snow pants on, I would have been absolutely freezing, and these warmed me more effectively than any other pair of leggings or thermals I've ever owned. When temperatures were around freezing (roughly 25-35 degrees Fahrenheit or -5 to 2 celsius), I actually only wore these over top my briefs, and a pair of gym shorts over the leggings, and felt completely comfortable. Although my legs are generally more resistant to cold than the average person, I'd say, this is still pretty great for just one pair of tight and stylish thermal layering. For reference, I would be the guy probably still wearing shorts in, say, 55 degree weather. These are definitely the way to go on backpacking trips, as their compression-ness makes them extremely compact compared to other thermal layering options. The warmest temperature I ever needed these in was about 45 degrees and in the morning when I woke up. If it were any warmer than that or if I was being active, I don't think I would need these.Plus, the tight fit just makes me feel generally more secure - a rather arbitrary but nonetheless visceral feeling I never get from comparably baggy thermal layers. And on top of all this, I only paid about $24 for these bad boys: unheard of!!

great workout pants
Meets my needs for good quality compression pants for cooler weather workouts both in and out of the gym. Has stood fairly well after multiple washes(hang dry), only a few loose threads, why I think is more than acceptable after a year of solid use. There is a bit of a pouch , which is a nice feature as some other styles tend to be overly constricting in that area.

Too tight!
Pants were so tight at the ankle my 12year old couldn't even get his foot through.

Great material, warm
Great material, warm, but just as every other review here stated they are SMALL. Went a size up and could have done at least one more. When they say compression they aren't playing around.

Four Stars
Nice material. Way too small. Size 35" waist, I ordered the XXL. They are very tight. Had to return.

Be careful when you buy.
Okay, first things first, this fits WAY too small. Even if my shoulders weren't broader than most, this would still be two sizes too small. I understand the point of compression wear is to be fitting but this is a little ridiculous.Gave it to my girlfriend to try and she loves it. Actually a great thermal product with enough moisture wicking that you barely feel the sweat in the middle of a workout/run.Great product but definitely order a size larger.
