A pleasant surprise
Initially I thought this design was a little over-the-top for me, as the one thing I appreciate about Full Metal Panic are the more realistic designs given to the AS. So with the bright blue, the sword, no gun, I just thought I would exclude this guy. But he's going for a lot less than most Full Metal Panic Robot Spirits go, so I said what the heck and added him to my cart. I have no idea what role it has in the Full Metal Panic universe. But once I got him, it actually blew me away. Yes, the sword is still a little too much, but the design just stands out and posing him is a lot of fun. He looks cool no matter what you do with him. I picked up the Shadow just to get the spear-like weapon designed for this guy (I don't know why they packaged it seperately). Will probably pick up the red version of this guy too. Very cool figure.

Discolored and very loose
Looks good but mine has a weird red hue on the arms and is extremely loose and loves to fall apart

A great damashii release
Overall the robot damashii AS-1 Blaze Raven is a great toy. One major draw for this damashii in particular is that the design of the blaze raven oozes coolness - its sleek proportions and angular sculpt make for a great look. The articulation of this toy is also spectacular. There are so many intricate moving parts and most importantly, they can all be used to maximum effect due to the slenderness of the design. One minor complaint is that the toy only comes with one accessory which is its sword. The sword itself is great though and it should be noted that the figure comes with 2 extra gun holding trigger finger hands so any of the weapons from your other robot damashii can be held by the blaze raven perfectly (for example gundam unicorn's bream rifle).

In theory this can be easily dixed with glue or whatever you use to tighten ...
This is a must grab if you are into Robot Damashii figures...the only problem i have is that the knee armor keeps falling off. In theory this can be easily dixed with glue or whatever you use to tighten parts and joints on your figure but i dont want to risk ruining anything..maybe you might be fortunate enough to not have this problem. They do stay in but when you want to move the legs then they can fall off

Overall a nice action figure, however the sword doesn't fit into it's sheath.
