Hyperkin "Squire" Premium Controller for Genesis/MegaRetroN HD

Love this Sega Genesis controller. I actually prefer it to my original Sega OEM 6 button. Real solid feel in my hands and works perfect. Buttons have excellent response and D pad super accurate. Very important Cable is a whopping 10ft in length excellent for far away station from your TV. No Cons really a well made controller and also the price you can not beat a excellent replacement of original.

Somehow better than the original controls buttons are tight casing is made of nice hard plastic that has a great gripping surface and a little contour in the back for your fingers cords are extra long I feel like I robbed them

Controller is comfortable but the Directional Pad is inaccurate and slippery.

XYZ button doesn't work on Retron 5, a product Hyperkin (the company that made this controller and the retron 5 console) themselves and it doesn't work

For a sub $30 controller price wise...Very good purchase! Controls are responsive and "dog bone" style ergonomics are good!

This controller feels like the original ones that came with my Sega Genesis back in '89. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because out of two controllers that I ordered, one was defective and had to be exchanged. This leads me to believe that their quality control might not be the best. At least Amazon's return policy is awesome, so if you end up getting a dud, it gets rectified very quickly.

The joy pads that i received did not work properly, button assignments were allover the place. I suspect the batch i received was wired improperly at the factory because I could barely play sonic and 1/2 the buttons didnt do anything.Avoid and buy a better controller
