Maybelline Dream Urban Cover All-In-One Protective Makeup SPF 50 100 Warm Ivory

This is a brilliant foundation for the more mature skin, I’ve just turned 50 and conscious of my fine lines. Didn’t want anything to settle into them and make me look older!This doesn’t do that, it’s a lovely light creamy coverage that just blends into the skin enhancing it, doesn’t look heavy on the skin and the spf 50 is a bonus.Used it every day on trip to Rome and Florence and didn’t burn with this on, so very happy with this foundation and will be buying it again.

It's amazing and suitable for my skin.It is anti pollution with SP50.

Lovely formula so easy to apply and blend. Love the SPF but warm ivory is so pale and as a very fair skinned person it is unfortunate too light for me it is almost bone china I would normally buy fair to light base foundations.

I really wanted to like the Dream Urban Cover foundation. It has many aspects I want in this type of product, firstly being it had SPF50 and as I’m pale that’s amazing, since most foundations either have no SPF or it’s minimal at best. It’s also a thin formula so even though it claims to be full coverage (which to get full coverage you’d have to layer the product) you can sheer it out by only using a small amount, and since I prefer light coverage this was great.It was also a really good colour match for me, for reference, my usual foundation is Maybelline Dream Radiant in 03 True Ivory, which is slightly less yellow and a little more neutral than the shade I bought in Urban Cover, being 100 Warm Ivory. dream Radiant has also been my go too since before they changed the name! I wanted to try this one primarily for the SPF, but colour wise these are a good match for one another and I actually like the slightly more golden hue.So that’s the good stuff. Negatively I wouldn’t say this was great for dry or sensitive skin. It picked up texture where I was dry, settled in pores a little too easily when using lightly, and dried my skin out more than it had been, and I was using barely any product and had a trusted moisturiser underneath. It also - despite being high in dimethicone - didn’t like going over a moisturisers with dimethicone in it, and pilled, so I did try it over a cream based one and this seemed slightly better. I’d like to note that the foundation was the only new product I had introduced into my routine, and while my skin was doing it’s change in seasons freak out, it got drastically dryer over the days I used this product.There is also a slight smell to the foundation which, while not unpleasant, lead to some eye irritation for me, watering mainly for a little while after application, though I don’t go close to my eyes, so this was scent travelling and something I’ve experienced frequently and why I try to avoid scented face products.However, my main issue was after a few days of use, I had an allergic reaction on my cheeks, including redness, bumps and stinging - which are all reactions I’ve had with other products I’m allergic too, at which point I discontinued use and after a few days my skin isn’t red or bumpy, the stinging is subsiding and the dryness caused by an allergic reaction always take a little longer to subside. After two or three days basically my skin has returned to normal, and again this was the only product I removed.Unfortunately I think the cause is either the chemical SPF (which sucks) or the Niacinamide in the product, both of which I’ve had problems with in the past and have led to irritation.I think this product will be great for lots of people, especially those looking for a high SPF and lightweight coverage, but I think if you have reactive, easily irritated skin I would potentially avoid it and try Dream Radiant as I haven’t had such issues with it. So, to conclude, for me it’s going to great graveyard of failed foundations.(Note: I bought this over a year ago, tried it and set it aside because I had a reaction, I tried it again recently as I was running out of my usual foundation and wanted to save money and use up a stashed products, but I had exactly the same reaction. For general reference I am pale, have dry and sensitive skin and have had reactions from chemical SPF, high levels of dimethicone, alcohol and fragrances in the past.)Hope this helps your decision if you have similar issue to me.

The only foundation I use !I've tried hundreds of foundations and tinted moisturiser and CC creams but I haven't used anything else since I started using Maybelline Dream Urban cover !I have really dry skin and everything I've used in the past would just sit on top of my skin and dry out the skin even more,making my pores look even bigger!This foundation look fabulous on the skin, has spf in it and it's really good coverage too!Highly recommended!!!!

This is a second purchase, my sister tried it, liked it & helped herself ! She is raving about it, she is a one woman promoter.I had to purchase another ! It is as good as many of the more expensive brands I have bought in the past. I would certainly advise others to purchase.

Have tried so many variations of ivory, some too light, a lot too yellow. This is a really good match for my skintone. I've worn it all day and it's still smooth. Good having spf too.
