Will these grow in a tall glass vase?

They grow outside in the ground, I don't think they will grow inside in glass vase

I live in zone 7a and didn't realize that gladiolus had to be dug out for winter.  Can I leave these in the garden making sure they have mulch

Hi,It will really depend on the variety of gladiolus, and also where you have them planted. I am in zone 6B and always dug up my bulbs. (they do NOT need to be chilled by the way). However, there would always be a few that I missed, and those would always come up without fail - even when out in the middle of my yard with no protection. So last fall, I decided to leave all of my gladiolus in the ground, so I did, and covered them with a nice layer of straw. Well, we had an absolutely BRUTAL winter. Unbelievably cold with very little snow (Snowcover is GREAT protection for plants). I lost almost all of my glads, although a few clusters of babies did come up. However, my neighbor, who had her glads planted close to the foundation of her house in a bed with southern exposure, was lucky enough to have all of hers return for the 3rd year in a row - with no mulch cover either. I have a calla lily in the same kind of bed (close to house, southern exposure) that really should not make it through our winters but it does every year, even through the last brutal winter. SO, all of that being said, if you have an average winter, and if you put a nice, deep layer of straw over your glads, I believe they will survive in the ground - and especially so if you have them in a protected area, like close to your house. Mother nature is very hard to predict, however, so if they are special to you, you may want to dig at least some of them, so if it happens to be an exceptionally cold winter, you won't lose them all. Good luck!PS - I would not suggest buying from this seller. From the reviews and comments here, the glads do not grow well, do not bloom the right color, are not sent with instructions, are very small, and worst of all, the seller has no idea how to grow them (said that refrigeration is necessary which it absolutely is NOT with warm-climate gladiolus bulbs). ALSO, to anyone reading this, now is NOT the time to buy and plant these bulbs, unless you live in zone 9 or higher. In colder zones, there isn't enough time before frost for them to bloom, and they should not sit in the ground all winter for growing next year - the will be dead and/or rotted by then. They should not even be listed for sale right now, and it's a shame that there's this kind of seller still allowed on Amazon.
