Love the painting. The numbers are easy to read. Can’t wait to finish it.

If you do the paint by number as indicated you will not get the same results as pictured. I used an actual copy of the photo for the painting as well as using paint from other kits and used the lines and colors provided as a guide. Then I did my own thing. Otherwise if you follow the actual paint by number you will end up with something that looks more like a bad patchwork quilt.Paint by number kits let me paint in such a way that I can spend as much or as little as time allows while caring for a parent with dementia.

I have pretty good vision but some of the numbers and areas to paint are quite small. The paintbrush sizes aren’t always compatible with the areas to paint. Some of the paint colors came a bit chunky and thick too. All colors expect the dark ones have required 2-3 coats of paint to cover the area completely and cover the dark numbers/lines. Overall it was a fun experience and rewarding because the final product looks great. Also love that it comes already on a canvas with wall hangers and an easel to display and let dry.

(NOTE, easel in the photo is NOT the one that comes with the package - I wanted to stand up to paint, from sitting all day at work, so I got a standing easel at Michael's). I've always wanted to paint, but I have no talent, zero, so I thought I'd give this a try. Overall, I give the product 5 stars, it comes with everything you need, the paint is plentiful, the canvas is framed and sturdy, the pattern is easy to follow. I would recommend picking up some better brushes, especially since the lighter paint dries quickly and a little transparent, so having a better brush that applies a thicker, evener coat is best. While I give the product and experience 5 stars, I'm giving my effort a B- I have just started my next painting that I bought from this same company, and will use lessons learned to try to do better next time. :)

Love this paint by number! I’m excited to see how it looks once I’m done but I ran out of paint. Especially on the light colored #’s. I still have quite a bit to go and am totally out of about 5 colors. I don’t have a ton of experience with paint so I don’t know if it’s a quality issue of if all light colors need a few coats to really be solid, but this paint definitely requires that. Even on the dark colors like the grey, blue, and purple needed multiple coats if I didn’t want an uneven/streaky look. Which I decided the multiple coat issue was okay even though it meant I was actually painting this whole thing 2-3 times (it’s about the journey not the destination… right?! 😆)… what sucked is that I needed to buy a whole second set to be able to finish the painting. :( but it’s given me hours of entertainment so I guess $50 ish dollars isn’t too bad. But definitely buyers beware… the paint provided is scarce so use sparingly or plan accordingly!! I included some photos of the numbers and lines showing through after even 2-3 coats. Now I’m all out waiting for the second batch to arrive. All and all it’s turning out awesome though and has been really fun!Also want to note customer service was very responsive and nice when I asked them about this but I didn’t want to wait up to a month and a half to get more paint and have to pay shipping. I’d like to just get the painting finished and not have to wait that long. They should just include either more or higher quality paint. But nonetheless, they were very understanding, nice and quick to respond!

Easy to use set up of the little easel and adjuster is simple. Turns out great and there's enough paint for each color!

I have tried paint-by-numbers from two other brands. I really liked the concept and it helps really calming me down on stressful days. The resulting paintings also look great on the wall!But this particular brand is horrible and makes me want to give up on this whole thing. Here are the things I hated about it:1. The numbers were not printed properly in many areas - strangely enough some of these blurred areas were bigger areas. There were many such areas which needed me to constantly keep checking back the reference sheet.2. The PAINT IS HORRIBLE. While painting, it looks ok, but later it has a streaky appearance. Typically I was able to solve this by applying another coat over it in other brands (if it happened at all) but even 3-4 coats did not give a smooth appearance3. The paint sticks to the brushes. I also have my own set of brushes, and this paints spoiled them completely. With other brands I was able to dip them in a cup of water and my brush could easily be reused for another color. But this paint STICKS to the brush and is horribly difficult to clean. The only thing that worked was nail polish remover which I'm not sure is good for the brush (I am not a painter in any sense of the word so no idea). My brushes all look quite sad now because of the constant scraping i need to do to remove the paint4. The paints are not dark enough. This means even after I apply 3-4 paints, the lines do not completely disappear and I can still outlines of the individual areas in many of the colors.I hated this experience. Please do not buy this brand. I have tried two other brands and I did not have any of these problems with them. I switched to this one because it was cheaper and I have paid the price with my time and peace of mind

My Wife loves these painting DIY's and they keep her busy when she has time on her hands. I have purchased these for her many times and these really look great when she's finished them. I recommend them if you have patients. The numbers are too small for me to follow but she doesn't seem to mind.
