Are these treated to keep them from changing into beetles?

Mealworms are the larval stage of beetles. I’ve never heard of a treatment to keep them from pupating.

I just ordered the 500 live meal worms but it doesn't say what size they are? i need large worms. anyone know what size the 500 live are?

They are TINY. I wrote the company and let them know that of they weren't trying to be intentionally fraudulent they should provide some for scale in the picture (other vendors use coins) Obviously they have not done so. They amount of effort sorting through the saw dust to find the miniscule things would have taken hours and hours. If I had some way to do so however the whole "500" wouldn't have been enough for two meals for my Bearded Dragon

I don't know precisely, they are delivered very quickly (like 1-2days) which makes me think they are fairly local.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner is ready guys.

These mealworms are very lively and healthy. I have had experience with mealworms before from another seller about 1,000 and they worked heck out me. lol Now 5,000 I have my hands full. I have a bird sanctuary in my backyard and a few lizards, right now the birds are enjoying the bird seeds. I would recommend these worms for you birds, chickens, lizards and whatever my enjoy them.
