A very interesting book covering many forms of fusion (theoretical as well as proven). There are plenty of formulae for students to get their head around (personally, I skipped through this), and the text gave a detailed explanation behind the equations. The book covers the many-considered "fuel mixes" - I now understand why DT is preferred over the more easily-obtained DD mix, and was fascinated by the various technologies (including the theoretical muon-catalyst driven fusion alongside the proven magnetic-confined fusion and stellerator concepts).

I currently work as a systems engineer on a fusion energy product so not a plasma physicist by any means but I wanted a book that went beyond a basic introduction to fusion energy. This book does that very well, introducing and explaining important concepts like "fuel dynamics" for example, at an appropriate level of detail where you are not lost by complicated mathematical formulas. Very happy with this purchase.
