Fits perfectly, very soft and just the right amount of thickness price was just right plus they do exactly what we needed them to do. These stair treads not only look so nice, they help prevent slippage, seem to be able to clean easily and protect our wood. The only issue we had was removing the plastic backing. The open tab to remove was good but the plastic would not come off in on piece, once it was off the end of that! Great product now we need a piece for the landing. .

Easy to install. Good quality. Look great. They lay flat and don’t slip.

This is really indoor/outdoor type carpet. Very low pile. It is attached to a piece of cardboard. An adhesive is placed on the cardboard. Just sticky. A very thin cellophane is placed over the adhesive to protect the adhesive prior to install. It is EXTREMELY difficult to remove the cellophane to expose the adhesive. And hard to discern cellophane from carpet back. It needs time and patience. Be forwarned. Install time: 13 steps took 2 hours. Most of that removing cellophane. It looks fine and hope it stays in place.

Update to my review from a few years ago: these have been on my stairs for more than 2 years and they have worked great! No slipping. High quality. It is time for me to move so I have been peeling them off the floor. There isn't even any residue. The backs still feel pretty sticky, so I have put some wax paper over them to preserve them for the move. Just an amazing product! Original review: Where I live, it is difficult to find carpet. I had to get this shipped overseas. Not a lot of companies will do that, so that was a plus for this company. The treads arrived in a timely fashion. They are of good quality. I read a number of the reviews on various aspects of installation, so I started with cleaning the stairs very well. First I dry dusted (swiffer type) and then wet mopped. Once dry, I moved to installation. The other concerning piece was pulling off the backing. First, there should be a starter corner on every tread. I didn't realize that until about tread #3. What I did that seemed to work was to take the starter corner at an angle with a wide swath and then peel it lengthwise across the middle, making an upper and lower half of left over covering. I then pulled off each half keeping my fingers close to the edges where the covering was sewn into the carpet. This seemed to make the peeling process pretty fast. As I logged back in to type this review, I noticed that there was a suggestion from the company to adhere a piece of packing tape to the covering to help out...I didn't think to try that, but can see how that might help as well. I did my best to only lay the carpet down once so as to not diminish the adhesive. I've been up and down the stairs about 5 times now without any problems. I'm reluctant to give adhesion 5 stars until I make it a few months with these things. Will reevaluate then.

These carpet stair treads are really a beautiful addition to your stairs. Easy to install after making sure the stairs were clean of wax and other contaminants. One tip that I used to remove the protection plastic on the back, was to use an xacto knife or razor blade, and cut the backing all along the very edge and then lifted from the center of the short edge and slowly pulled straight back. This prevents splintered tearing of the thin plastic. After the carpets were attached, I put on my hard sole shoes and stepped on every square inch to make sure that they stuck on all surfaces. I've had them on for about 3 weeks and they still look brand new. The short nap makes them easy to vacuum and clean up. The big plus for us, is, we adopted a small puppy and it now goes safely up and down the stairs without slipping and falling the rest of the way down. These carpet stair treads are definitely worth the money and the time it took from cleaning to installation.

First they sent me four treads of a different color of grey! Lucky for me I ordered more than I needed. This is a great product and this is our second time ordering these for our stairs. The last order I made was over 5 years ago and we were needing to upgrade so we got new ones. These are the perfect stair treads for anyone wanting a product with no upkeep other than vacuuming. First, these treads take patience. Peeling the film off the back can be tricky. The film tears off in little pieces and it can be hard to get it all off. After doing a few, it did get easier. Second, I expected what was under the film to be sticky or tacky, but it hardly felt different from when the film was on. Third, they were very easy to install, but only some stayed in place while others came loose right away. (I have these treads on clean wood stairs.) It was scary for me the first time one of them moved while I was going downstairs, but it really freaked my dog out when they would move on him. He refused to go up and down the stairs for days. I finally got a roll of two-sided carpet adhesive and put it on the backs of the treads, and they haven't moved since.

One stair tread out of the 14 had a dark brown thread in the middle of the beige tread. Makes it look dirty. This should have been caught by the manufacturer. Otherwise, satisfied with these stair treads. The protective film takes a little time to remove. The rubber backing makes it easy to install and remove. These were just installed and there is no issue with them slipping.

I can't say more than fantastic stair treads! After watching the areas of trouble my dogs were having in older age with slipping on stairs- which included the 'lip or nosing' of the tread. I spent hours reading reviews- these treads had great reviews - most did not, relatively inexpensive and work well. They look acceptable - nothing fancy, super easy to care for, they are firmly in place with the provided adhesive - even with 500 lbs of people & dogs going up & down repeatedly throughout the day. (My only wish was I could have avoided 'made in China' but it did not seem to exist - even with high end treads - I can buy them in Canada but I can't find an alternative.)

Product is good and easy to install. Just make sure you count the treads before installing. Someone at Amazon can't count to 14. There was only 13 in my shipment and needed 14 as advertised. Didn't realise until I had stuck 80% down. Amazon wouldn't send the one tread out I needed. Offered a small refund but that is useless as I only want one tread and you have to buy 14. The refund doesn't cover the 14! So I either send back the lot which will be useless to anyone now and only add to landfill or accept a useless refund and the problem isn't solved.

So convenient with 2 toddlers and no glue ! They look kind good too They are sticking very well, it’s been over 3 weeks and they didn’t move.

I like how they look and help my aging pooch get up the stairs. Easy to install.

Very good quality but I order 14 and received only 13. Contacted seller. He fixed it quickly.
