Despite the name, this product does not make the mower mulch the grass. It simply forces cut grass out and downward from an opening and the bottom.My lightweight cordless Ryobi mower that came with a proper mulch plug does a much better job than my super expensive Bosch Advanced Rotak 750 with this fake multimulch add on.With this bosch add on you WILL be left with huge clumps of grass trails that would require multiple passes to break the grass down a bit. Even then however you will still be left with a lot of grass clumps and trails. If you think you will save time but negating multiple trips to empty the grass bin then it's pointless and will take you 10 times longer to cut the grass as you will spend most of the time trying to break down the grass left behind with repeat passes.With the Ryobi I have none.This is a pointless product from Bosch. Why couldn't they have hired a proper engineer to develop this product...?

This is nothing more than a simple plastic moulding that redirects the cuttings downwards onto the grass.But like other add-ons, it is a bit of a cheat. For what it is, it is pricey, but if you are going to look after your lawn properly, and so frequently leave the clippings to feed the lawn you must have one.Come on, Bosch, this should come with the mower and not be a paid accessory! After all, old fashioned mowers always left the clippings down by default.

The product is not at all suitable to distribute the grass clipping evenly, what you expect from a mulcher. I have used the similar Bosch mulcher with my old Bosch mower and that used to work absolutely fine. However this one is just an expensive lid which stops the grass clipping from going every where and keep laying them on the lawn as a continuous pyramid.I really like Bosch garden equipment, however this was a shame. My sincere appeal to the designing team to fix this issue or stop recommending this attachment with the Bosch mower, which are not meant for the mulching.

Read a lot of info on the web about the important and impact that mulching with the mower would bring and after several weeks use can’t say that anything is different, as for the product it’s is week made as much as a single but of black plastic can be, as for effectiveness it dose route the grass out of the back but it comes in big clumps and not as described as “directing it back at the routes” it leaves big clumps some 20cm round by 5cm depth it reminds me of the scene from aliens where they find the egg room, it looks like the grass monster has laid its grass eggs all over the lawn😀, value for money is subjective but in my view it doesn’t really do what’s needed or advertised, but think that down to the mower rather than the product, and the value for materials is another thing, I’m sure the cost of production is less than £2-£3gpb so retail at around £30 is very expensive in comparison, would I buy again NO would I recommend errrr no

This is a relatively expensive piece of plastic. It basically blocks to flow of grass chippings which would normally go into the collection bag and directs them downward onto the lawn. Thus the clipping which end up on the lawn are no different in terms of size from those that would go into the bag (they have only passed through the cutting blade once) and so it is no different from spreading a bag full of clippings over the lawn. Looking at pictures of other movers (eg the DeWalt DCMW564), the mulching device appears to block the outlet from the bowl to the passage into the bag. Thus the clippings remain in the bowl and, presumably, are cut multiple times before being deposited on the lawn. Next summer, I may try using a block of wood to block the outlet passage in this way on my Bosch mover to see if it improves the mulching.

Only just realised the importance of nourishing my lawn using grass clippings. This allows the lawnmower to chop the clippings finely and reapplies to the lawn as a mulch, as you cut the lawn - result was that they stayed on the lawn and didn’t get trampled into the house. Great accessory to the Bosch lawnmower.

Pricey for a piece of moulded plastic. Does job of firing grass clippings down into lawn thatch quite well. Number One advantage: No emptying of collector necessary = time saved.

Bosch have this wrong on so many levels. It’s £30 for a bit of plastic that neither mulches or assists even distribution of the grass in any way. Such a shame because I have the 750 mower which is just brilliant and I could not be happier with that piece of kit. Save yourself the money, just close the grass bag flap and let the blade do the work without this ‘mulching tool’. The results are identical.
