Inglehoffer Seafood Cocktail Sauce with Fresh Grated Horseradish, 10 oz Squeeze Bottle

This is the best tasting cocktail sauce I have ever had. It has a real taste not artificial like some other brands. I will be ordering this again when needed.

You can tell the horseradish is fresh and high quality but surprisingly it turns out I don't want that in a cocktail sauce. It's too overpowering that you can't taste the shrimp. I like cocktail sauce to comment what I'm eating not cover up all the flavor. It just doesn't taste like the classic cocktail sauce I'm used to so I'm going to have to pass on this in the future.

It has a decent taste, but the aftertaste is just foul. It's not spicy so much as it is downright unpleasant when you exhale that bite's breath.

Ever since Crosse and Blackwell was sold to another company and they ceased production of the product, I've been searching for a replacement of the same taste and quality. So far, the Inglehoffer cocktail sauce seems to come closest to the C&B product. It has a little more horseradish than most competitors which gives it that extra "zing" without being overly seasoned. It's pricey but worth the extra cost. If you're on a budget and still want a great competitor with superb flavor, I think Heinz cocktail sauce is a worthy alternative.

I've only had more common brands of cocktail sauce, so in comparing to those this is bit spicier and on the thicker side. A bit pricey here but very good. Also if you're into sugar content, this is about the lowest I could find. There are a couple others about the same, most have closer to double.

Loved this cocktail sauce with shrimp since first discovered it in little round glass jars, decades ago, but never see it on supermarket shelves anymore. At least as tangy, potent and delicious as the expensive refrigerated "boutique" deli counter jars I find everywhere, but stays bright and fresh long after the jar/bottle is opened. ALL others I've tried are like super-sweet ketchup with a little horseradish and bland commercial mustard. Dipping a shrimp in those is like drowning an eggs, bacon and hash browns breakfast in cheap pancake syrup. Inglehoffer's really amps up all the great brilliance, flavor and texture of quality fresh cooked chilled shrimp. Good shrimp cocktail is vibrant and unmistakeably "shrimpy", far as I'm concerned - and should never taste like candied tidepool bits in ketchup, right? I guess taste is simply a highly individually-subjective phenomenon, but around here, this is the 5-star winner.
