beautiful pen, good balance... not heavy not light!only thing i found not correct is, this is a pen and it should stand being in a pocket with other things not just a pen to show up to other people. this pen is a vanity, i bought this pen as a gift to me for finishing my highschool. i had it yesterday in my front khakis pant's pocket together with my wallet and the pen got all scratches from my wallet! i think montblanc made this pen to be show up in a shirt pocket and to be used for signing only, not as a writing instrument as they call their pens.i have not complain about the quality of the ink, it is a good ink and that i think it is the most important thing of a writing instrument, not just to show an expensive item of certain brand name that is poorly made. dont get me wrong, the pen is beautiful and it's comfortable in the hands and writes beautiful, what i don't like it is the idea of having something so vain and fragile that i am afraid of letting it fall down by mistake. over all, the pen causes admiration to itself and probably to the one that owns it. i am a seller and it certainly causes an impresion whenever i give it to clients to sign the voucher.

I have collected pens for years. From very inexpensive to pens costing in the thousands of dollars. The cost of a pen has never been the driving factor to me. If I like a pen for design or feel, then the cost is not the deciding reason to purchase. MontBlanc has been a favorite., however. I like the Le Grand because it has a thicker barrel and I like a pen that has some girth and weight. When looking online, I saw the Le Grand and asked another seller some questions, I never heard back from them. I then asked the same questions of RDBrands and they got back to me right away with all my questions answered and wanted to know if they could help in any other way. So, I purchased my Le Grand from them and received it promptly with a follow-up from them to make sure I was happy with my purchase. I was so pleased, I purchased a second one with the platinum finish so I now have two (one gold and one platinum). With over 200 quality pens in my collection, these two are among my favorites and I use them daily at work. Again, RDBrands, thank you for your fabulous customer service and quality merchandise. F. I purchased mine from Amazon, so I can't speak to other sellers and whether or not they are authentic. However Amazon's version is the real deal. This is my first expensive pen purchase, and so far I'm loving it! The pen is large and has a solid feel and weight to it. Also it writes perfectly, smooth with no skipping or smearing. I was worried about a rollerball, but the ink seems to dry extremely fast. So all in all this is a fantastic pen at a great price. I definitely recommend.

It is an excellent brand pen and a good gift choice for elders. Only it is costly, but it is said to write smoothly by my friend.

This is my birthday gift from my wife. My wife wants to have my name engraved on the pen as well as other Mont blanc pens that I have. Therefore, my daughter dropped it to the Mont Blanc store to engraved my name on it as soon as I received it. The Mont Blanc store called my daughter saying that this is not authentic pen. it is fake!!!. It took me a while to hear from the Mont Blanc store back since it is a holiday seasons. We all have been so shocked by the news. Therefore, I called myself to verify and the Mont Blanc store have confimed me that this is the FAKE pen, not a legimate authentificate MontBlanc pen, over the phone. They would not put my name engraved on the pen and want me to return to where I have purchased.This new is very disappointing and disgusting. I will wait to see how this seller would respond on this.

Purchased from RDBrands to replace one that was stolen when someone broke into my car. Lots of sentimental value with this pen and I had to replace. Pen arrived quickly and looked perfect. After reading so many negative reviews regarding counterfeit pens, I brought the pen to the Mont Blanc store in Chicago. After examining the pen and looking at the serial numbers and engraving, two of the team authenticated it and shared that the pen is genuine. Highly recommend the pen and the seller. Thank you Amazon and RDBrands. Appreciate you making a bad situation better. I’m actually considering buying another one!

I bought this pen from Amazon and it is the real deal. Based on Amazon's return policy I would not think they would ever knowingly sell a fake or counterfeit product. If it is shipped from Amazon I am about 99.9% sure it is the real thing. If it is not shipped by Amazon, or sold by Amazon I definitely do not buy it. I have other Mont Blanc pens bought in jewelry stores that were authorized retailers and there is no difference in the product. Some years ago Mont Blanc had a lifetime guarantee, that is no longer the case, so there is no advantage to purchasing through an authorized retailer because there is not a lifetime warranty/guarantee now. I love the product still. Over the past 30 years I have bought at least six that I still have, but this one is my favorite. The rollerball refill from Mont Blanc in Pacific Blue is the best writing pen I have ever found. I have the same pen in gold trim and it is identical to this one in platinum trim. I no longer want the bling of gold so I bought this one with platinum trim, which is now my favorite pen that I carry daily. I will one day buy my last Mont Blanc: LeGrand with Platinum trim and the diamond in the snow cap.

The pen is great, I bought the rollerball instead of the ballpoint and my husband loves it.I was very pleased with the pen but totally disappointed in the shipper. I ordered the pen way ahead of my husband's birthday. The shipper sent the wrong pen the first time, I had to return it with the picture of the pen that I had ordered. I ordered the pen on the March 3rd and it arrived on the 30th. A week after the birthday party. So needless to say, I won't order if Angel Eyes is the shipper. But the pen is fabulous.
