Winsome Leo 3-Tier Storage Shelf, for Living Room, Home Office, Bedroom, Espresso

Love these as our bed side tables! I purchased two for either side of our bed. Since our new bed is about 27.5" tall, these tables worked great and allowed about an inch of table above the bed so you can easily see to set things on top of it. We loved the color as well. It's not too dark and has a wonderful cherry color that looks great with anything. This was also by far one of the easiest shelves to assemble and took only about ten minutes to put together two. Anyone that says it's hard to assemble has apparently never put anything easy together. As like other reviews, these shelves are indeed wood and are very sturdy when against the wall. We put books, table lamps, and baskets on each shelf and they don't cause the shelf to wobble and could probably withstand quite a bit of weight. The only con I can say is that they kind of attract cat hair. I have three cats that are considered short/medium hair so they shed but not to much. These shelves however do seem to attract some cat hair here and there after we put them together but that was probably due to us putting them together on the carpet. But a dry cloth wipes away everything in seconds. The packaging was by far the best I've ever seen. Each piece was individually wrapped and secured with it's own box. So there wasn't any damage to the shelves. Honestly, I would highly recommend these to anyone. They are a great buy for the money and work incredibly well with new beds that are a lot higher than the old bed spring beds.

First of all, yes, OK, technically this can be considered flat-pack furniture, in that it comes packed flat and requires assembly. Don't let that put you off. There is not a shred of particle board in this unit; it is solid wood throughout, and it is a very nice quality piece of work, nicely finished. Unlike most kit furniture these days, it's sourced out of Thailand, not China or Indonesia. It goes together easily, looks good when assembled, and the only tools you will need are the supplied Allen wrench and a soft-face mallet (or a hammer and a piece of softwood to use as a drift) to tap the screw caps into place. The only issue you may have is that sometimes some of the screw holes in the side pieces may be partially blocked by drifts of excess finish. You can clear out the excess easily with a sharp knife. I'm not certain what wood this is; Winsome Wood's site doesn't specify. The finish option I chose was described as "walnut", but I wouldn't have described it as walnut; it's too dark and reddish for that. Rosewood would be a much better description. Whatever you call it, if you like dark wood finishes and clean, simple design, odds are you'll like this. The shelves are big enough to provide a useful amount of space (roughly 10" x 24"), and should take a pretty good amount of weight, though obviously it's not a Gorilla rack and you don't want to use it to store engine blocks. Use it for books, use it for clothes, use it for your collection of Tongan knick-knacks or your collection of single malts. It'll serve admirably for any of them.

This bookcase looks great with my decor, and is a good height (not short or super tall). I like that it has back braces on all three levels to keep items from falling off. It is pretty sturdy - just be sure you either anchor it to the wall or push it against the wall, or objects on the top may fall over. It fits between 50-60 books, depending on their size. It took about an hour to put together. It comes with an Allen wrench but it is sooo much easier to put together with a power tool. Perfect for what I needed!

I bought two of these shelving units to use as bookcases in my small condo. These were some of the nicest looking three shelved units made of solid wood at the price. There is a similiar item that includes the storage baskets - I opted to buy the item that did not include these. The price difference is significant and you can buy similiar storage baskets far cheaper seperately, so if you were looking at the item that includes the baskets, I would recommend buying them seperately. The shelving unit came very nicely packed, in my opinion. There was a small nick on one of the shelves, but it was so small that you can't really tell that it is there. The units were fairly easy to put together - it took me about 25 minutes to put together two of them by myself. A hex key is included and is all that is needed for installation, but you might want to use a small rubber mallet to pound in the wooden plugs that cover the screw holes. I was too lazy to dig out my toolbox and used a screwdriver handle I had laying around with a cloth over it in order not to damage the finish. The most difficult part of putting this together was the top shelf. When getting to that part, I found it easier to put the top shelf on the ground, then place the unit on top of it upside down, and screw the screws in while it was laying upside down on the floor. As for the actual unit, it is solid wood, which is really nice for the price point. There was a slight flex in the wood which made the feet ever so slightly uneven in both units I put together. Before dinging the product for that too hard though, I understand this is a mass produced product so slight variances are understandable. The slight flex actually helped here though - I loaded up one of the units with books and it seemed to settle down and straighten out once there was weight on the lower shelf. One of the shelving units is completely packed full of heavy certification guides and hardcovers and doesn't show any sagging at all, which is a problem I've found with cheaper bookcases that use fiberboard/pressboard construction. The finish is a really nice, dark, rich color, but it definitely needs to air out a bit. After unpacking, the smell is pretty noticable. After a day, however, it doesn't seem to be there anymore. I really like it - for the price, you get a nice finish, solid wood, sturdy enough to pack full of books. I wish the item had a little better quality control in the pieces, but again, for a mass produced product that you put together yourself, I think the quality is really high. The smell of the finish might bother some people who are sensitive to smell, but the smell fades quickly. The slight wobble was fixed after putting some weight on the shelves and letting the unit sit for awhile. Could the wood be nicer? Sure, but it is hard to beat at this price. It seems like the negative reviews I read might have been when quality control went through a low point, but I did not encounter any glaring issues and I am very happy about my purchase. This definitely beats any of the cheap pressboard bookscase you will find in big box stores and looks like it will last a very long time.

Very nice shelf unit. Looks better than the photos too.😊 Easy to assemble. All parts were included (but no extra screws etc...) and all fit as they should. A wall mount kit to stabilize even more was included. But not wobbly when finished so probably won't use. No weird smell from varnish/stain finish. Bought as a Warehouse Deal for almost half price and the only issue was a slight crack in one shelf that wasn't too bad. Put a bead of glue along to stabilize. Wood is thick enough that it didn't cause much damage. Will check out more from this company in the future. Helpful votes are always appreciated!😁

Product is packaged well, Everything arrived in good condition. The finish of the wood is a legitimate espresso colour, a bit darker than what appears in the main Amazon photo. The product itself is rather light, but it is wood. There are eight screws that require a bit of coordination to tighten simultaneously. But once tightened, it is a sturdy item, and it really only takes a few minutes to assemble. It is just short enough to use as a nightstand. Overall, I think this looks nicer than the typical cheap MDF nightstands or end tables.

Es un librero pequeño, muy robusto, todo de madera. Es muy fácil de armar así que en un ratito uno tiene un espacio de almacenamiento muy práctico. Como incluye la llave Allen para los tornillos no hace falta ninguna herramienta adicional para armarlo. El empaque es pequeño así que se puede transportar muy fácil en la cajuela del carro. Es una excelente relación precio calidad.
