An absolutely amazing product designed by amazing people.

Got this about three weeks ago, came quickly in two days after placing the order. Nicely packaged in a plain box with the just the Winkler logo on the outside and the knife itself and sheath well packed inside. Came with the usual manufacturer authenticity and inspection card, care instructions along with a Winkler decal.The sheath in and of itself is impressive with its lined Kydex type sheath covered in leather to securely protect and hold the blade in place with absolutely no rattling. I changed the belt clip to horizontal to carry cross draw as I felt that vertically it sits a bit high on my belt for easy withdrawal of the knife.The knife itself seems to be well made and thought out. It is comfortable in multiple hand grips and feels secure. The blade stock is nice and thick and has a full tang making for a strong blade. It came reasonably sharp out of the box and I have been stropping it to finish it up a bit.Ok, now the reason for just the four stars. Out of the box the walnut handle was bone dry and I had to immediately apply wood wax. I also applied a light coating of REM oil to the blade; as suggested ; to protect it from rust. The black oxide coating on the blade comes off when wiping the blade off and leaves streaks on the blade and it hadn’t even been used yet. Next is the belt clip. Mine has two prongs on it to open and it is difficult to get on, and extremely hard to get off the belt as you have to position your finger/fingers perfectly to get both prongs at the same time to raise them to get the curved tips out from under and then over the belt. My tech-look also doesn’t line up with the holes in the mounting plate. Last but not least is that there is no drainage hole in the sheath.These may all seem like little things but they do all add up on this highly touted and not inexpensive knife.That’s my opinion, you decide fir yourself.

Great quality knife. Especially impressed with the sheath and ease of carry. I was expecting it to be sharper out of the box, but overall this is a quality knife and sheath that will serve as not only a functional daily use knife, but an heirloom to pass down.
