This is a must....
This book is a must for ANY professional working in the finished-goods/products Fulfillment/Distribution world. If your work and responsibilities span anywhere within a FC/DC, you should pick up this book. For less than one hundred bucks, you get one of the best written, concise handbooks I have ever encountered. It's very important to note that this is not just a dictionary-like handbook, but rather a book that is actually easily readble and enjoyable. It is not for novices, but for anyone with some level of experience, the book comes to life and will help you build depth.I work for a major e-retailer that disbributes products to end customers. Having worked many years here and picking up most of the know-how from experience alone, I am now questioning why our learning dept doesn't have the insight to make this book a "required" manual for all when we first started. It is excellent and provides great explanations and applications .Buy it. If I ran a DC/FC, this is a must read for all my mgrs and jr mgrs.

Basic information for newbies
I am a warehouse professional, I purchsed this in order to increase my knowledge but it was not really suitable to me. It would be useful to somebody who has never worked in the warehousing industry before but if your already a warehouse professional it's of very little use. Its very dated in respect of drawings and images and realy could do with an update. One key area missing from Warehouse books in general is detailed business cases and templates, this is no different.

Packaging to Australia
My book arrived today, but it was very poorly packaged for a consignment to Australia. The cardboard was sealed only with a single strip of paper tape which had broken and the package had to be re-sealed with real tape by the Australian post office. Photo available. Fortunately the book was intact, but there was no paperwork, receipt or packing slip which have fallen out of the open package, but I do require it. Hopefully a real person will read this and send me a duplicate.Thankyou.

Good Intro, Lacking Depth
Good introduction to many of the concepts but lacking depth I would have liked. You can't have it all though, they say.

far too basic
I was wishing a more specialized book, especially where inventory management comes, but it has so many topis that each one is very basic

great book
as a commercial real estate broker i have decided to study the field of logistics. i have ordered 4 different books on this matter. the book consists plenty of information, and offers the reader the possibility to go deeper into the field. it is well organized and allow reader to choose the topics one might find interesting.i also recomend "the time space & cost..." that i have read before this one. much shorter, but includes 80% of the important information.
