It works easily and well
I brought this KVM in the Amazon Prime sale to replace an older Raritan four port USB/VGA unit. The Raritan was over 10 years old and worked well on VGA, thought it struggled to recognise a Dell U2410 24" monitor. The Dell U2410 supports 1920x1200 which is slightly different to the normal 1920x1080 resolution. The unit is industrial in design, I like it but it is not a fancy Apple design for a boutique designer. Thats their loss though. It comes with two combined HDMI/USB cables, which I would normally complain about, but since two of my machines required micro HDMI as well as DisplayPort (Mac), it was neither here nor there.Setup was simple and took as long as opening the box, plugging everything in and turning it on. That was it. I had a Windows 10 laptop connected via Micro HDMI, a Macbook Pro connected via Displayport and a older Mac Pro connected via HDMI. These were all connected to the Dell U2410 monitor setup for 1920x1200 resolution.Everything worked as expected. I didn;t configure anything, change anything, just plugged cables in. It would be nice to have programme keys that change the input sources, I am so used to Scroll Lock/Scroll-Lock/Page Up or Page Down from my old monitor and now have to use Scroll Lock/Scroll Lock 1, 2, 3 or 4m but I'll live and relearn. The manual is rubbish but isn't needed. There appears to be an option for using the mouse to change monitors but that was immediately turned off.Switching takes around 3-5 seconds which is a fraction longer than my old Raritan. Its tolerable though. The kit is well packed and just works out the box.I'd remove the mouse detection circuitry and take another £5 of the price.Anyway, it works well, was cheap, looks well built and so far works out of the box.

Simply did NOT work
I was impressed when i opened the box, and the quality of the metal case and layout was promising. especially good for my application was the fact that the case has lugs to be able to scew it to the wall or desk etc. However after setting it up according to easy diagram included, i was dismayed to realise i have a faulty one, with no output from the keyboard or mouse ports. (windows key and mouse) A crying shame as this would have been perfect in size and layout for my needsIt does state no support for apple keyboards, but i do not poses one. I tried 3 different keyboards and mice, nothing a total waste of time. Talking of "SUPPORT" here is the reply i got from TESMART themselves after i asked for help:Niral (TESmart USA)Aug 6, 2020, 9:46 AM EDTThank you very much for the informationBad news is we are only the reseller here in the US.Now it makes sense when you said you reached out the support and no one replied. That was most likely the manufacturer who sold you the unit.If it was in my power I would've shipped you the cables but like you said it is very complicated to even ship there specially from the US.I believe you only are left with one option for returning back to Amazon. Its very unfortunate that the manufacturer support is extremely slow and unresponsive specially when they make the sale and don't care enough; but my help is restrained this matter. Now i find, having ordered it from here in Ireland compelled to use the "Addresspal" system" of delivery to Ireland , on the returns print off page there is only the UK Addresspal Address, so how they are going to return it i don't know. now im in danger of losing my money as well as time! You have been warned, avoid this junk, buy something else

Works really well. Had it for almost 1 year.
Long term review, almost had it a year. This works really well. Most of the time I use the keyboard hot switching with "scroll" , "scroll" and number 1 to 4, this is even easier than the remote control, or pressing the button on the unit multiple times.Picture quality has always been perfect. The only issue I had is there is a key sequence you can press that changes the hot keys on the keyboard, and I don't think it was documented in the instructions.I contacted te-smart help email, and they did respond back quickly. This was there response, so if it happens to you, you don't even need to contact them !Dear Sir,Good day! Thanks for visiting our website. It could be you had pressed [Scroll] --> [Scroll] --> [F1] before, as if you had pressed this hot keys, the hot key will be changed to from [Scroll] to right [CTRL].If you want to revise it back to [Scroll] you can press:right [CTRL] --> right [CTRL] --> [F1]

Only two cables for a 4 port KVM
This would have been a five star review had there been four cables for the FOUR port KVM switch (having to buy two additional cables to utilize all four ports of the switch - I got this to control a Raspberry Pi cluster (comprised of 4 Pis) I am going to build. I have a two port model of this KVM and it's brilliant. The four port is equally as good easy to set up (the manual is a bit rubbish), if I'm buying a 4 port KVM I expect to be able to connect 4 devices and not have to buy additional cables, as such I give it a three star rating.

An excellent HDMI KVM switch for the home user
This is a solidly built device with excellent mounting options. The HDMI EDID emulation prevents connected PC's from changing their desktop layout when switching between PCs. I have the output of the switch connected to a 2k screen (2560x1440) running at 60Hz, and this works fine, although the switch is specified for 4k@60Hz. The analogue audio output from the selected HDMI source was a pleasant surprise - I have the output connected to Hi-Fi amplifier/speakers and the built in DAC is of decent quality. The device comes with two sets of 1.5m cables, this was not a problem for me as I have plenty of spare HDMI and USB cables, but you may need to buy extras if you don't have these. I haven't tried the supplied IR remote control as it didn't come with a battery and I don't need it anyway. The keyboard shortcuts mean the switch can be mounted out of the way.

USB switch failed after approx 1 year.
Worked well for almost a year. Now the USB fun has failed and it only switches Hdmi and not USB.

Perfect KVM switch for multiple computers and work flows
This HDMI kvm switch is perfect and I use it with two windows laptops and one laptop running latest arch linux. It is connected with wireless mouse and mechanical gaming keyboard. It works perfectly, however the only glitch is that media keys on mechanical gaming keys do not work(Fn+Vol up/down). For me it is not a problem as I adjust volume with physical buttons on my speakers. Speakers are connected to the output on kvm switch.
