Good Pigment
Used these to paint a loaf of sourdough, worked really well. If you use it for the same thing I used it for it will bleed because of the steam but it held up because of the base of white pigment.

Bright and true colors
These are great quality gels. They seem very condensed, which makes a little gel go a long way. The colors are very strong and true to the sticker color on their lids. If you're looking for a set of all of the basic/most used colors, this probably isn't the set for you. I mistakenly thought a set of 12 would have them, like if you buy a set of colored pencils. That was my fault, but thought I'd mention it if you're not a read-all-the-fine-print kind of person like I am. They mix really well, too. I used them to water color paint on cookies. I used vodka instead of water to dilute the gel as not to dissolve the icing when painting, so I can't speak as to how it works when diluted with water. However, I can say that they all kept their color very well when diluted, which is important specifically with the white.

Vibrant colors, mix well
After other seeing other sellers get bad reviews for sending out wrong colors, I went with this seller. I received the exact colors listed in the description. I used them with marshmallow fondant, and it turned out great! The colors also mix well, since there is only sky blue, just mixed in a little black and got a dark blue. The black actually seemed to get a little darker as it sat out, so don't get discouraged if its a dark grey at first. Great buy, would recommend to any baker!

Some of the colors are indeed off !!!
So far the quality is ok, but some colors are off. It started with the VIOLET, which is a shade of blue. Then I moved on to the FUCHSIA, which is lilac. And what really made me annoyed was when I was holding my last cup of icing and I poured that MAUVE in just for it to turn greenish grayish black something. There was no way for me to salvage this color. Ultimately I poured in some RED RED for it to turn into this ugly pink red brown color, which was better than the greenish grey. I fear that if I buy the colors separately I will encounter the same problem.

awesome colors, but note the Set#2 part!
I'll go into more detail as I try the various shades. I lovelovelove gel food coloring! They don't get funky tasting and not being liquid, it doesn't change the consistency of the food you are putting them in. That being said, just pay close attention to this listing. Truly, I was just looking for a 12-pc set and thought they were all the same. They aren't! Notice what I didn't notice - SET#2. The colors listed are exactly what I received, so that part is great. But I was looking to get a base of more basic colors and build on that. I already had black, or I would have been very ticked that it wasn't in this set. (And it would have been my fault for not reading more carefully). So, just pay attention to what colors you are buying in any given listing. They are all good, and I certainly won't return them. However, I also wasn't truly looking for many of the colors in this set.

Yay, no more toothpicks - Love the squeeze bottle and the lush colors
I like Wilton food colors, but I hate wasting countless toothpicks getting the gel out of the jar, so that is why I’m transitioning to the AmeriColor line. The squeeze bottle is so much easier to use, and if I do need just a dab of color I can still use a toothpick. The AmeriColors are bright and vibrant, and very very concentrated. The only nit I have is I don’t think the color swatch on the top of the bottle really looks like the color inside. In this twelve pack I received: Mint Green (112), Forrest Green (109), Bright White (126), Ivory (108), Egg Yellow (106), Copper (Fleshtone) (105), Dusty Rose (115), Mauve (116), Peach (117), TerraCotta (125), Red Red (119), and Burgundy (118).

Beautiful Colors
I read reviews on here and I have to say I was hesitant to purchase for fear I would not get the colors that I ordered like many people had mentioned. I went ahead with the order, and the order was perfect, the colors I ordered were the colors I received in the mail. This is the first time I used gel color, and these do not disappoint. I use barely any of the gel and the color that it produced was beautiful. I feel like I need a vacation just so I can experiment with all the colors of royal icing.

Best colouring I have used for royal icing yet. A few drops and I was able to get bright, vibrant, solid colours without any muting. Very pleased!

The colours are great to work with and you do not need to use a lot, so the bottles can last a little while if you use them without wastage.
