This dress is Amazing. The dress is definitely made to last. The dress is very heavy which is awesome. It doesn’t feel like a costume at all. It feels like your wearing a ball gown. I would recommend going down a size. According to the size chart I would have been a 2xl but after reading reviews about it running large I’m glad I bought the XL instead. The 2XL would’ve been way too big. For reference I am 5’4 1/2 and have a 47 inch chest and a 36 inch waist. I tried the dress on without a corset or bra but if I wanted to I would’ve had room to do so. If you are wearing the dress in the summer heat it will be very warm but in fall and winter it will keep you cozy from the weight of it. To get the nice full effect of the dress you will definitely need to buy a crinoline. I can’t express how wonderful this dress is. The quality is superb, it went above and beyond my expectations. I feel like you could have this dress for many many years. The first photo shown is with flash and the second is without flash. Honestly the dress made me feel like a gothic princess. It is totally worth the buy and for the price you can’t get better. I’ve spent way more money on my renfair outfit and it wasn’t as detailed as this dress. I can’t wait to wear this for Halloween. If you’re on the fence take the plunge and buy this dress! You will not regret it!

I ordered a custom dress and was VERY disappointed, as it was not made to the measurements provided. I have over 90 custom made dresses, used the exact same measurements for this garment, and have never experienced this problem with any other vendor.As you can see from my photos, the dress was made several inches too big - four inches too long, four inches too wide in the waist, and about two inches too much in the shoulders. It requires major alterations to be wearable. Please note that I am wearing their brand panier under it, so that is not contributing to the problem. Because of this, I would recommend that instead of buying a custom dress, get the dress closest to your measurements and then take it to be altered; no point in buying something "custom" that you'll still have to take to a seamstress.That said, I still like the dress - the material is lovely and has a bit of stretch, which is nice; and despite being made incorrectly, the quality of the work is good. Also, I appreciated the vendor providing a partial refund. The dress did come in a timely fashion, so at least I have time to get the alterations complete.

I ordered the dress in Style B, the black w gold accents. The dress itself is fine quality-wise, besides the ribbons on the chest. If you leave the ribbons as they come they just slide around with any movement and if you tie them tightly the just look messy and awkward. What I was really disappointed in was the fit. I purchased for my Halloween costume a couple of weeks ago so I really didn’t want to order the wrong size. I carefully measured myself and analyzed the size chart listed and according to the size chart I should have been a Large. After reading reviews saying that the dress was a bit big, I decided to size down and purchased a Medium. The medium was still inches too big around the waist! I was planning on wearing a corset underneath but there would have been no point. With amazon “prime” shipping I received the dress with plenty of time before I needed it, so I reordered the dress in a size Small. This second dress was delayed in shipping because it was somehow “sent to the wrong postal facility”.. and days later they notify me that the dress was actually damaged and was being sent back to sender. After getting a refund, I go to order this dress for a THIRD time, y’all, and now the size I need is out of stock. What a mess! Point of the story: Size down! Would have saved me so much hassle if the size chart was even close to accurate. For reference: My waist is 31.5” and the Medium was too big

Cons: this is an XXL, per size chart should for up to"40 waist. WRONG. IT FITS UP TO 44". This was made for an 8' tall amazon woman. The underskirt is not a full skirt, it is only the very front that has the color fabric and ruffles. The cape or train on the back and the ruffled panels along the front of the skirt are only tacked on, not completely sewn on. The fabric is that of a typical fabric shower curtain. The metallic ruffle trim is stiff.PROs: is as pictured, it is pretty, suitable for a costume (but not for something more serious). Fast ship. Once I put it on and clamped it to fit (all over), it felt lovely. I do like it but will return it and get another custom ordered.

This gown is very well made. As a theater costumer, I was shocked by the construction and value. It does run a little big. I wear a 16 or 14w and had to take it in about 3”, but they’re is such a gap between the xl and xxl sizing that I don’t think I could have gone down a size. I measure 46-39-45.I wore this as Marie Antoinette and felt like a queen. You do need a corset and pannier/hoop skirt to get the look I created, FYI.

runs big, very pretty, only returned as it felt too fancy for a Hamilton viewing I planned to wear it for. Felt more "french revolution" ish.

I love this dress! It’s a bit large in the waist and bust area and very long ( I’m 5’2 about 135lbs and 34DD bust) but I expected a bit of alteration would be needed. The fabric is great and the details are just like the picture. Definitely needs a crinoline to get the full effect of the skirt though. Overall, a great buy for Halloween

Get panniers to go under the dress because this amazing costume is made specifically for them!Otherwise your hem will drag.Way better than I ever expected. A quick steam and she's perfect.The fabric is light and a little cheap/plastic-y. But you wouldn't know from looking at it. And it fits the price.I'm in love!
