18V XR Brushless 125mm Sander, Tool Only, DCW210N-XJ

Brilliant DeWalt sander very powerful and it works well decent dust extraction and not to loud fits nicely in your hands as well

Having used a get cheap sanders, I was keen to get a tool that was cable free and could be attached to a vacuum cleaner. This unit is a good quality build and it works much much better than my cheap units. It can remove a large amount of material, but if tou want to do something delicate, like sanding plaster, you can turn down the speed. Attaching a vacuum cleaner is expensive. You don't get the fitting, but have to buy it separately, either as a single adapter yhat gets attached permanently to the vacuum hose (£18) or a full kit that allows you to just push in a normal vacuum hose (£30). I used this kit on a ceiling, running the sander on slow. No clouds of dust, and the end result was extremely good. Not all dust was captured though. A small sprinkling fell on my shoulder, but this was a very small amount Battery life seemed very good. An hour of sanding used about half a 2ah battery. Overall I think this is the start of a beautiful relationship with this new tool. I have lots of boatwork to do this winter, and being able to work for long periods on batteries is a definitely plus.

We bought this as a replacement for our old Dewalt sander and if you are a default user, you will know that it is a great little sander not too heavy. We had our last one for around four years and used it every other day.

Needed a cordless sander that won't break a bank and yet to be reliable. Think this ticks it all, it is easy to use, not too noise, has dust collection bag and is not too big. Please note that this does not come with a battery.

Small and compact with lots of power. it works well and is built quite well, nice and solid. the only issue i had is that the sanding disks it comes with didnt stick too well to the sanding pad. other than that, it works well, easy to dust off afterwards to keep it clean

very impressed with this sander. Purchased mainly because I have other DeWalt tools and the batteries are interchangable. It has 7 power settings and an on/off switch so very easy to use. The sandpaper is attached with hook and loops which are part of the sander & paper so it just sticks on and tears off. The fan to collect dust is pretty good and gets most of it, you have a choice of the supplied collector or attaching a vaccum cleaner hose.
