These bags exceeded my expectations in both quality and durability. Right out of the box, I was surprised by how heavy-duty they felt. Splurged on these. Hate plastic bags but have been resisting buying reusable bags because I also hate thinking about the raw meat juice getting on fabric and then cross contaminating my produce. I shopped for reusable bags for a long time knowing that my city was going to ban plastic bags. Looking for a product that looked nice, solid construction and most of all washable!!! I didn’t want crinkly plastic ones that I could imagine having to hang in the shower after disinfecting, the shapeless ones that fold down to pocket size, the cute box style ones that I would throw after something leaked and I didn’t want a zipper to limit how much I could pack inside....eventually breaking the zipper. These are perfect....except the price. Hate the price. Love the product so far. I haven’t needed to wash them. I designate one box bag for meat. All meat is contained within a knotted plastic bag. One box bag got some flour spilled in it....dusted it off and it looks great. They hold a ton. I can shop for a family of four and fit everything into my bags. Very sturdy. Checkers love my bags...very easy. I load the conveyer up organized by meat produce etc and am happy to find they end up in my box bags the same way. I love these. Should have purchased them years ago....another bonus....the box bags are wide open so you won’t miss anything....nothing rolls out....and you won’t overlook an avocado or perishable hiding in the corner of some deep crinkly reusable bag. I usually leave my cart at the end of the aisle, gather things and throw them in at one time to avoid aisle congestion. I don’t do that anymore because I’m afraid someone will steal them. The only downside for some (maybe) is that because they are structured and durable, they are a little heavier...and at least for my safeway carts, they fit awkwardly. So I end up stacking them like bricks. If you wanna splurge, these even like a good choice. I’ll update in a couple months if I have durability or washing issues.

I bought these my first time a couple of years ago. They are the best grocery bag ever. They stay in my truck all folded up and stored in one that is not folded. And they are so good for a variety of other things, like taking odd n ends into my office that won't fit into my purse, taking meals to share at other peoples' houses, taking clothing donations to a thrift shop, and a long list of other things. Hands down though, they work well for quickly packing groceries at the store, quickly getting groceries into the house, and quickly putting them away. The bags are sturdy, store well, and look nice. All grocery baggers have complimented me on them. At this point I've purchased a total of 12 and am honestly only writing this review because I need more to put in my husband's truck and am buying four more :) Someone said they smell, they don't. I suspect someone said the handles aren't sturdy, they are very sturdy. I've tried washing one in the washer and it held up with no issues. You won't regret buying a lot of these!

Great, useful and keeps their shape

I learned recently that my local supermarket was going to eliminate plastic bags and provide paper bags for a fee. I decided it was time to search for a better option than the paper bags at the store that will frequently tear if filled with too many items. I was looking for something that was attractive, washable, strong and easy to fold for storage. These bags seemed perfect! I noticed on the reviews, that someone thought they weren't big enough, so I measured them and compared the measurements to regular store grocery bags. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the measurements were nearly the same in width and length, perhaps even more of a square (13"X10") than your standard grocery bag, but the height was 11" which is fine because you wouldn't want the shopping bag to be too heavy. Not only was I able to pack my self check items much faster than with paper, but when I lifted the handles, I was surprised to find that it wasn't as heavy as I feared it would be. These shopping bags are much better than bags because they are more like foldable lightweight crates that can be carried on your arm and look fashionably current. The only drawback is the price, but considering these bags are washable in cold water or easily can be wiped clean and they are not likely to break as quickly as other options might, I think it is well worth the cost, as another reviewer stated. I'll also be helping to save the environment.

I bought these to take to the store during the pandemic so I didn't have to use a basket or cart. I clipped a carabiner to the handle to hold a reusable shopping bag - and repacked in the tote as well. They clean really well - I used diluted bleach spray after shopping to sanitize and the color (navy) didn't fade at all. Plus you can wash them but I haven't done that yet. My one wish is that there was an external slip pocket for keys, card, phone, etc. That's my reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. The totes aren't very big - they are better for small shopping trips. Once I got the hang of stacking items in the tote it worked fine. I might want it a bit longer, but not deeper. The good news is, they are easy to manage and carry around a store. The price seems expensive at first, but the quality will last and the uses for these totes are endless (I have one in my back seat to hold packages, loose items, etc - super easy to bring in and out of the house and keeps everything organized).
