Top notch pliers.
Good plier. I messed up and ordered the ones that don't have the release button, just the slip joint. Not the end of the world but wish I had paid attention that they have both styles offered.

Best EDC plier
This plier does everything. Wish it had twin grip head but still amazing. Jaws open to 1.5 inch easily. Not much torque at that opening. But who really needs that big every day, besides us firefighters? Perfect for bolts or anything.

Knipex is King
Best Channel Locks for the Money, Hands Down IMO. They are marketed for Pipe work but they are the perfect for multiple jobs. I'm a Technician/Millwright by trade and use these more than any other tool around the mill for loads of tasks. I always have these on my person all day while at work and they save me a ton of time preventing me from running back and forth to grab other tools. If you are in any trade like construction, an electrician, a technician, a mechanic, etc.) these are always there in some way to make most tasks faster and easier. The build quality (Made in Germeny!), price, versatility, slimmest profile, and their crazy durability are second to none. I have Knipex's full line of their Cobras, Alligators, and Adjustable wrenches because their versatility allow me to do so many things. Tighten/Break bolts loose, remove/install master links, grab hot metal, etc.) You can do a lot if you're creative with them. I prefer the Alligator line for there extremely fast and quick adjustability over the Cobras and other button style pliers. Once you get use to them, you can adjust these to size in less than 2 seconds. This is my 3rd pair of the 10"/250mm pliers because I use them so much because its the sweet spot for most jobs. Even after all the abuse and use every, my last pair which still has some teeth left after 2 years of heavy use are still perfectly serviceable but I decided to get a fresh pair. I hope this was review helpful.

Does Not Lock As Shown In The Misleading Video
These is an excellent quality tool, as expected for Knipex. I paid the Knipex price because the video shows the pliers grabbing onto a round piece so there is no need to continue to grip the two handles together, similar to the way Vise Grip pliers work. I wanted this feature because I might need to clamp it to an axle nut on a motorcycle rear wheel and then step on the handles to loosen it. It will not work in this application. The Knipex pliers will grip but they require the gripped object to deform. The tubing in the video is deforming to provide the spring load to keep the pliers engaged, so in that sense, the video isn't deceptive, but it's misleading by implying that the pliers themselves are capable of gripping and holding any object, but this self locking feature does not work with solid objects that cannot provide the spring function needed for the pliers to lock. Try to grab a solid object and the pliers will grip well enough to support their own weight but will fall off immediately when any force is applied to the handles.
