Have been using dryer sheets my entire adult life. Wife bought a few (2 balls from WalMart for more than this 6 pack) a couple years back, I wasn't impressed. After getting this set and using all 6, now I'm a believer. I haven't used a dryer sheet since using these, and my drying times are shorter, much shorter. I have a Maytag dryer with all the bells and whistles and the dryer never runs for the time displayed on the automatic cycles, most cycles will stop 15-20 minutes before the programmed cycle time. Have not had long enough to use during the winter when the air gets very dry in the area (Kansas), so we'll see how static goes then. So far, no static and before with dryer sheets, I'd get static every now and then even with high humidity.Just buy these, they work. When you factor having to buy dryer sheets, throw them away, then the extra dryer time...how can you not start using wool dryer balls?

I read some reviews, and thought, "Wow! These sound amazing!" Then some were quite lackluster. I'm curious about the amazing reviews, because I'm missing the amazing part.I'll give you that there's little static electricity, which is pretty cool. I haven't noticed a difference in softness with anything except, oddly enough, face cloths. I suspect the very hard water in North Florida makes the job harder.I saw several reviews stating the balls helped with removing lint and pet hair. That's a big no go. Not really sure how it could be possible, but the pet hair seems worse. It's as if the balls prevent the dryer screen from grabbing the pet hair, and just spread it around more. That part makes me very unhappy, particularly with dark clothes, and my dark purple comforter (my dogs are white).If I hadn't gotten these at such a great price, I'd probably be more bothered by this. But I appreciate the effort to remove the chemicals from our lives, like the softness, etc. I probably wouldn't buy again, particularly at full price, but it was worth giving them a shot.

I wish this product's antistatic qualities lasted longer than they did - as long as the Trader Joe's balls I bought sometime before, which, unfortunately, the store doesn't seem to carry anymore. I discovered these can be "re-charged," however, so I recently did so, in hopes that they might work as they did early on.

I ordered just before my weekend of laundering pillows, blankets, sheets and towels. They worked great. It doesn't help the pillows fluff perfectly, but they weren't going to be perfect with tennis balls either. They fluffed up nicely and they didn't need as much time to dry. It was not very noisy which was the main reason. I did purchase the lavender essential oil. I put it on every so often. I was hesitant to spend money on it b/c I was like do I really need it? Yes - it really helped things dry thoroughly. Previously some towel has remained wet in a ball while the rest is dry. Not anymore!

I love these dryer balls. I waited quite a while to select just the right product for what I needed. I wanted to use my essential oils in them. I was worried they'd be too small or cause my clothes to pill. I've been using them for at least a dozen dryer cycles. My clothes have dried faster, with no chemicals and no dryer sheets. I put a few drops of my lavender essential oil in them, and my clothes smell amazing. I am very happy with the size of dryer balls I received. They are keeping my clothes in excellent condition- no pilling! I will definitely be buying these for my extended family for gifts.

These work quite well to reduce wrinkles as long as you use plenty of them. I use at least six per load sometimes 8 for extra large loads. They don't reduce static quite as well as the dryer sheets, but to not deal with softener buildup on my clothes and vent screen it is well worth it. I just run the clothes over a metal door knob and it releases the static.

I used this as all natural dog toy balls, and my pup loves it. I'll have you know he shredded one of them and it is 100% wool inside and out. Once he broke through the surface it did smell like barn animal but I mean they are wool so it literally is what it is. But my dog didn't mind it! I'm sure drops of essential oil and some washes would take care of that! Nor do I think you'd nottice it unless the ball was cut open! Overall 5/5 stars for price and quality.

These are great. I quit using fabric softener and started doing the essential oils in the balls instead. Using it mostly for this purpose and love it for that. I do want to note that I washed them first which may have cause them to come out of round and they are somewhat oval shaped now. It doesn’t bother me but may bother someone who is a picky negative Nancy looking for the bad in things. Love em.
