Worth every penny
I ordered these speakers to replace some 7 year old Infinity reference speakers. The difference is astounding. The construction is more substantial and the quality is better. The cross overs are well made and the components inside are Infinity branded. Much greater accuracy and very "clean" sounding. The efficiency of these makes them much louder at the same setting as the old speakers. Because they are 2 ohm versus 4 my amplifier was a little confused at first, and was dropping out, but after turning off and on a couple times it has remained stable and sounds perfect. The bass is lacking at first but I attribute that to being new. Now they have some hours playing pretty loud the Bass is coming in. They are 5 1/4 inchers though so my Bass expectations aren't very high anyway. The tweeters are pretty big, I had to drill out my old stock tweeter mount panels to fit them. I believe the holes are 1 7/8 inches. The larger size tweeter allows a better integration between it and the woofer ( more range) so is over all smoother. It is really accurate and reproduces the high pitched claps etc. in Dance and rap music really well while also doing great with Jazz piano, acoustic and electric guitar and female voices without the sharpness of lesser tweeters. I would definitely recommend these.

New level of clarity
I have these in a Cherokee XJ behind a Pioneer amp and H/U, and I cannot say enough about the sound. I have been juggling speakers and brands for a few years now, and this is my first foray into amplified sound. About these speakers in partucular, the main 5.25 drivers are located in the doors in the factory location. The tweeters are mounted in the door handles (the locks/windows are manual, so they went where the buttons would have). The sound is nothing short of impressive. There are entire elements is songs I am hearing for the first time now, and I havn't had to look up lyrics since I got them. That said, there are two things I must mention. First, alot of people say the tweeters are too bright. They are. I didn't notice at first, but after the speakers broke in I noticed the vocals were alittle wrong. Flipped the switch to the -3db setting and the upper resonance is fabulous. As a side note, I did use foam baffles in the doors as well, this boosted the clarity noticably. The second note, these are 5.25" drivers, so anything below 300Hz is difficult, and don't expect alot of bass. Now if you listen to techno, or rap or something you will notice some bass, but plug in some classical, or my favorite, symphonic metal, and the lower sounds (chello, pipe organ, etc) almost dissapear in the complexity. Escala, Apocalyptica, and ES Postumous in particiualr get really flat. Infact, I had some 6.5" xPlod speakers that came in the Jeep when I bought it, and they sounded better on the low end. To that effect, these are complemented by Infinity Kappa 629is mounted in the rear deck, and a 10" sub.For the record, no comparison between the 6.5" xPlods, and the Kappa 629i. In addition, avoid the Infinity Reference series speakers. They are basically the Wal-Mart variety from harman-kardon. JBL speakers are in the same family. The "Power series" are the Kappa equal, and the "GTOs" are the Reference ones. In my personal experiance, requardless of brand, ALWAYS get woven cones.

tweeter was a problem
I just installed this in the front of my 2005 Honda Accord 4 door EX. The sound is great! I love them but the tweeter was a pain to install. It was def to big to put in stock so we had to cut out the tweeter grill and hot glue them to the grill. After all said and done the sound is amazing! Would recomend in any car that it will fit in.

Solid Sound, Fragile and missing PARTS!
I installed these yesterday. The 5.25" speakers fit perfectly in my 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (other reviews said they fit great), but the little tweeters did NOT fit where the old ones did. I had to modify my door panel and use some of the mounts they sent...which are cheap plastic and fragile af!I also could not seem to find a set of the monts that I think was supposed to be included. I think the job would have been a lot easier and LESS FRUSTRATING if I had the full set of mounting options that they included on the "install manual" (it's just a series of pictures).Because the part I was using broke when it landed on the floor of my shop, I would have loved to have had another option. As it is, I installed it the only way I could and tried to hide the broken bits. The speakers sound good, but installation was disappointing. Am currently trying to contact Infinity for the missing mounting brackets.

Great for motorcycles
Great for motorcycles much louder than most speakers. If you don't have an amplifier it doesn't take as much power to push these. But if you have an amplifier it even sounds better. Certainly worth the money. If you want to hear the quality of the music.I've tried other well-known brandsBut these are fabulous. Similar to Hertz but less expensive.
