The Norton Anthology of World Literature

I groaned when I saw this book (which was in addition to a very thick Vol 1), but it is filled with great stuff. If you are taking a 100-level college class in lit, the book provides a great over view. Take advantage of the info provided in the book's summaries of literary movements and their historical context, along with the author introductions/summaries (their writing styles and philosophies) when you're required to write an essay about a particular work, and you'll have what you need for a very basic lit course.

The book was in great condition; I just had to send it back because I bought the wrong edition.

It's a good textbook especially for this class, it has everything I need within it and even inspired some great ideas for english club events, it also helped to inspire my "to be read" list with fascinating stories like the metamorphosis by Franze Kafka and others, Sor Juana will always be a new personal favorite. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a good textbook for their world literature class or just for fun, there are whole worlds of writing to explore within this book, when they say adventure is out there they mean it.

Purchased this book for my World Literature Class. This book is great. It's packed with stories from around the world translated to English. Anyone who is into reading would enjoy this book. It's filled also with a good biography of the author before their writing. There's also poems.

I purchased a 2 book set and online received 1 book.

This was a textbook for one of my classes, and even though I bought it as gently used, it came in basically new condition. Very pleased with the quality...just wish the class was more fun.
