National Geographic: The Photographs (National Geographic Collectors Series) Review: NGS Photographer's Visual Historical Facts - There are several bookstore and used bookstore owners I keep contact with, who have mentioned to me that NGS may discontinue all their publications. Since I was in 4th grade, I have loved to read. My family had subscription to the monthly NatGeo Editions. Should have saved and hoarded all of them. These photos are frame-able; definitely historical. These are visual of true world events which occurred. These photographers were smart and intuitive enough to capture other country events visually. Framing all of these photos and having wall hangings of visual world history events, allows house & dinner guests to hear what actually happened, with their eyes. I've got two of these publications. They are keepers, heirlooms. Review: Wonderful - "National Geographic: The Photographs" is a visual odyssey that speaks volumes. This collection is more than just a tribute to the art of photography; it's a testament to the power of visual storytelling. Each image, meticulously captured, transports readers across diverse terrains, cultures, and moments in time, offering a window into worlds both vast and intimate. National Geographic has long been synonymous with breathtaking imagery, and this compilation stands as a hallmark of their legacy. The importance of the visual medium is underscored with every turn of the page. In an age where information overload is the norm, the immediacy and impact of a single photograph becomes ever more poignant. Words may provide the narrative, but the visuals sear moments into our collective consciousness, provoking thought, empathy, and wonder. The collection reaffirms that while language may sometimes falter or be lost in translation, visuals transcend boundaries, speaking a universal language of emotion and understanding. "National Geographic: The Photographs" is not just a book; it's an experience, a journey, and a testament to the indomitable spirit of exploration and human connection. Bravo to National Geographic for curating such an exquisite tapestry of our world and reminding us of the profound impact a single image can make. This is a must-have for photography enthusiasts and anyone seeking to witness the mesmerizing kaleidoscope of our shared human experience.

Nice book but kind of small
I love National Geographic and its photos. This book is filled with great photos and descriptions but the book is really small.... I was thinking it would be more like a coffee table book which it would be if your coffee table is tiny. The print is small and I actually bought as a gift for my dad, but I'm not sure he'll be able to read much of it - even with his glasses. So while I do like the photos, I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. I just really had never seen a photo book, especially a hard cover Nat Geo one, so small. And yes, it does say it's 8"x6" in the details but it just seems smaller, maybe because you want to see bigger images.

Beautiful pictures
Beautiful pictures. There is also a short description about the pictures and the date it was taken. I’m glad I read the reviews and bought the paper back, which is much bigger than hard cover. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great book of National Geographic photography
I enjoy this book and the amazing photos, especially the cover photo of the girl from Afghanistan. I do so enjoy the amazing photos from National Geographic, they take us everywhere without leaving our home, so important during this Covid pandemic.
