Not just for pat-downs!
I bought these a while back for a security job I had. Thankfully, I never had to use them for pat-downs. But I do need them when I'm clipping the claws of my roommate's cat. Laugh about that, then shut up and listen. Because those claws hadn't been clipped in at least 4 years and could cut through steel. I couldn't have people over because I'd say "Look out, there'll be blood everywhere if you play with with him!" And they'd say "Oh, I know!" and then there'd be blood on the carpet... again. He also doesn't like the claw-clipping routine, so when that not-so-little SOB tries to bite my fingers, he gets nowhere and he knows it. We then continue clipping in awkward silence.I've also used them as moving gloves and they work great there too. Point being, they work great for any task that might put your hands near sharp, unhappy things.

Fits like a... exactly how they should fit
I like these gloves a lot. The size is perfect for me and i feel like i can wear them and still use my fingers w/o losing much dexterity. The kevlar part: I tried chopping (hard) at my palm with a big knife and although there is a small mark in the material, it didn't make it half way thru and my hand is fine. Note: Catching bullets with these works but only when a friend throws them to you, not when fired from a gun.In terms of warmth, these gloves are not great winter gloves but i didn't get them for that purpose. I do find that i like the fit so much that i want to wear them instead of my normal gloves but on really windy days, i leave these at home. During the heart of winter, i did wear these gloves under my regular gloves, i was really impressed the fit was tight enough on my hands that these fit under winter gloves and were extra warm.the only con: The stitching is breaking on the right thumb seem a little but i'm sure i can repair if necessary. For $20, these are pretty good 'combat' gloves that will probably last a couple years with frequent use.

No feelings
It's really stiff and tough to feel anything.

Great quality!
It is so difficult to find gloves when you have extra small hands and I’m so glad I came across these. They fit really well. Great quality, durable, and worth every penny.

Fire/EMS/LE
I WILL buy these again.I work for an agency that does a lot of bag searches, and the frisker gloves they issued are just too bulky. These gloves fit true to size and you can actually feel what you have. Please keep in mind there is no body-fluid protection; you could just wear some latex gloves over if you're concerned. I've never tested the rip-stop so I can't speak for that (maybe I will after I have some use out of them). I've only had them since Nov 19 so durability was 4 because I can't say much.Would not be useful for riding bikes as they would not offer enough rub protection in a crashWith all this; I've recommended these to fellow cops and TSA that I've worked with and would recommend these for Fire/EMS work gloves (experience in both).

Quality Gloves - Saved my Hands Once Already
I use these gloves on a daily basis. Just a few days ago, I was called to a house with a suicidal subject. She wanted to gut herself in the belly with a kitchen knife. She was eventually hit in the back with TASER darts, and when she began to fall back onto the bed, I caught her, and the knife. I grabbed the knife blade with my hands, while wearing these gloves, and fought with her a moment to free the knife. It was a ballsy move, but the gloves lived up to their Kevlar backing.I can't guarantee, of course, everyone/anyone will have the same conditions and reactions, but it did keep my hands in one piece.

They are not cut resistant.
I have a pair of these gloves from over 10 years ago. That pair is great, you can take a razor sharp knife and run in along the palm and nothing, no cuts, to tears.. Nothing. The new ones are garbage. I took the same knife and lightly ran it across the palm and it cut all the way through the glove. You can tell they are no longer made the same. Save your money and if you bought these DO NOT TRUST them. they offer NO cut resistance at all.
