Complete Medical Heel Wedge Healing Shoe, Large, 0.94 Pound

Bought this as an upgrade for my dad while he heals from a wound on his heel. Smaller (not clunky) and more sturdy than his previous boot that was issued by the hospital. Works great!

Perfect shoes for a non weight bearing heel wound

The Velcro strap that goes over the upper part by the ankle only has Velcro at the very end of the strap. My husband has a high arch/instep and the strap does not go all the way over. It would be nice for the entire strap to be Velcro.Also the shoe in the bottom looked dirty/dusty like someone wore it or returned it.

I purchased this at the recommendation of an Orthopedic MD to wear while walking in order to keep my weight off a heal that has a couple of micro fractures. It took 3-4 days to get used to walking on my forefoot but the device does work as hoped. I wear a size 11 men’s shoe and the large fits my foot. The main drawback is with the ankle strap. It is very long and the Velcro just barely connects to keep the shoe secure. There is no way I can see to adjust it to make it shorter. The only other drawback is that it took 8-10 days to arrive after ordering. I knew that was likely to be the case once the order was placed but I did not have another source for this device but since I’m used to 1-2 day shipping with Prime and really wanted to start using this ASAP the shipping time was a disappointment.

Not the most comfortable shoe, it definitely helped to heal my wound on the heel.

I started wearing the shoe within minutes of receiving it in the mail. It is very comfortable and provides great support.My only complaint is the velco strap could have a little bigger area of velco on it. Other than that it is a very outstanding shoe and the price was very reasonable.

The platform above the wedge is very stiff and the wedge is so far back there is almost no cushioning for the heel. Also the wedge is so thick you walk funny on it.This thing has almost no flex at all and I am 275 lbs. Look elsewhere if you need to cushion an injured heel.

I tried Iwalk,crutches and this shoe.I had a tumor removed from my heel and had to stay off of it for 3 WEEKS. This shoe allowed me to walk with only a cane, I inserted a wedge insole and it was absolutely no pressure on my heel when I walk .
