Giro Cormick MIPS Cycling Helmet

You are reading these reviews because you want to know if this helmet makes you look like a mushroom. Let me be the one to tell you it does not!Compared to many - many other helmets I’ve tried, this one feels the most natural on my head. Additionally, the price + MIPS tech that is included can’t be beat.

In 1998 there were no Yellow helmets I could find in US. I under up buying a specialized one and spray painting it :)If you ride in a black helmet ,there is something amiss in your head or will be after an accident (as ninjas loose on bikes, at night especially :)This MIPS helmet is 301grams. My noggin measures at 62cm some times of year, but this 61cm tops helmet actually fit me. It's urban style helmet, but I don't care I wear it on my mtn. bike and on my road bike too!I like that there is just one buckle with strip length adjustment and one adjustment control for head size. Seems like Giro killed this helmet design. Can't tell why- not a bad casque at all.

I wanted to give this helmet 5 stars, but the sizing is off. I chose the helmet size based off of my head measurements (56 cm). The helmet was too big despite my efforts to adjust the straps and dial. Additionally, the chin strap rested really close to neck which made it difficult to breathe when I tilted my chin down towards my chest. The Y straps under the ears are non-adjustable. If they were, I’m sure I could have adjusted them so the chin strap would rest in a more comfortable position.Overall, the construction seems sturdy. The removable visor is a nice touch. When I took the visor off and put it back on, it took a few tries before it attached evenly.Based off of the other reviews, this seems to be a great product for a majority of purchasers. It’s a cool looking helmet, but it’s definitely not a good fit for me.

I really like this helmet. It’s comfortable and stylish and provides the best of modern helmet tech with MIPS. My only complaint is that the helmet should come with an extra piece of foam padding for days when you don’t want the visor. If you take out the visor the velcro will hurt your forehead. I instead ordered some generic padding which works fine but seems like something they could include for an extra $0.25.

First I have a huge melon of a head so it was fun trying to find a helmet that fit. Target failed me and the first XL helmet I ordered from Amazon looked like a yarmulke on my melon. It’s adjustable, it fits well, and it has a removable visor. The best part is that it doesn’t look ridiculous when I wear it.

This helmet looks awesome, fits great, and is comfortable. I have a big head wearing a size 7 7/8 hat and this helmet fits with plenty of room to make it bigger. This helmet has penty of padding and a hat style sun visor that can flip up if you don't want to use it.

This is a replacement Giro helmet. My last one cracked after protecting me from head injury after a fall. I had some minor cuts on the forehead, but I wasn't wearing the helmet low enough. My bad. Similar to my last helmet, this is a one size fit all. I typically order large helmets, and this helmet is a good fit and comfortable. I've tighten it once I put it on my head. I can get it snug and properly fitted and it remains comfortable. The straps are easy to adjust. The bright color seems like a good safety thing. I especially like the ballcap style visor, which does a good job keeping sun and rain out of my eyes.

I own this and the Giro Register. This Cormick model fits much better than the Giro Register MIPS Adult Recreational Cycling Helmet - Universal Adult (54-61 cm). It feels like it straps in lower around your head for a more secure fit so you get more coverage. The Giro Register saved my head from a bad crash. Both are fine helmets. This one is better fitting.I don't notice a difference in cooling between both the Register and Cormick.

Aunque vino sin una caja oficial, el casco llegó bien, con el instructivo y el visor, desconozco si tendría que venir con alguna otra cosa. Por otro lado, me encantó, es mas ligero, mas ventilado y cómodo que el que tenía, me ajusto perfecto y el color sencillamente es llamativo y visible. Además, el costo fue bueno para ser mips.
