Q: As the wax treatment wears over time, how do you suggest that it be restored or reapplied? What product should be used, and how should it be applied?

We prefer using Otter Wax (fabric wax). It is great stuff. You can reapply simply by hand rubbing it on and heating it in with a heat gun or blow dryer. To facilicate the uptake of the wax from the bar into the material, you can preheat the area of fabric with your heat gun. You can also apply heat to the bar wax to allow for it to rub on easier. The idea is to refinish it by blending in the new wax with the old wax that is in the fabric. By heating it thoroughly you'll facilitate the melting and blending. If needed, a cheap brush can be used to spread the wax on your fabric. The goal is to get a uniform application by blending. Start with small amounts to get a gauge on how the materials works as it warms and cools. Lastly, let it cure for 24 hours in normal rooms temps. YouTube has some good how-to videos too!

Q: I'm a fat man, will this apron fit a 58" waist?

Greetings sir! We have designed this apron to have extra long straps for folks of all sizes. The cross-back straps accommodate up to approximately a 60" at the waist while allowing enough length to tie the straps. If you are not satisfied with the fitment, we are happy to accept a return.
