This was perfect! I had two eggs I found on my parsley and I put them in a baby food jar. Well they got so big. I needed something for them to call home. I'm looking forward to doing this again in the spring!

I love these! Bought two, one for swallowtail caterpillars and one for monarch caterpillars. Healthy airflow and nice looking too. I have released many butterflies from these tents - a healthy place where you can view metamorphosis.

I really like the Restcloud habitats. This is the second one I purchased for the Monarchs I raise and they seem to like them as much as I do. I use this one for an overlap habitat for different stages of butterflies. The cage comes with a great booklet for beginners so it also makes a different and quite lovely gift. I will definitely purchase many more of these.

The media could not be loaded.  These enclosures are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for raising monarchs!PROS:- excellent viewing window- large opening for easy access- simple to clean- easy and compact to store- durable for use over several seasons- great priceCONS:- none!!In my monarch "nursery", I use three enclosures - one for small cats, one for large cats, and one as the butterfly hatchery. The max capacity for this 3-enclosure set-up is about 45 butterflies in a season.For the caterpillar enclosures, I turn them upside down (where the solid green bottom becomes the roof) so I can use the handles as tie-downs to keep the enclosures stable. They are located on a screened-in porch and can be exposed to breezes, so stability is a key requirement. The cats have no trouble climbing onto and sticking to the green nylon. They "J" there as expected and transform into chrysalises without issue. To remove the chrysalis, I tie dental floss around the stem, gently pull on the floss and peel the silk pad with tweezers. I then move the chrysalis to my dowel tree in the butterfly hatchery enclosure.The butterfly hatchery has the green nylon on the bottom, which is velcro'd to a plastic tray for easy and stable transport around the yard for butterfly release.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these enclosures.

i have released so far 17 monarchs. super easy. have more than 20 more chrysalis! very excited.

Perfect. Mesh is small enough to keep predators and parasitoids away from caterpillars. 24" tall was the perfect height. Durable, not flimsy. Easy to setup, clean and store.

Es muy ligera, de buena calidad y fácil de limpiar y de guardar. Lo único que hay que tomar en cuenta es que el fondo no es rígido, por lo que yo tuve que agregarle un panel como de 30 cm X 30 cm de cartón para poder colocar encima el recipiente que contiene la planta alimentadora de las orugas. Esto le da más estabilidad al conjunto en el caso de que haya viento.
