Aaaaalmost perfect.
First things first, these are great CrossFit shorts. They fit right, they stretch right, they don't bind in any way (except maybe a little snug in the junk on deep squats? But they DO stretch), and they hold up forever (so far). I can't imagine you'll ever find a better pair for the money. So why only 4 stars? There are only a couple things that keep these shorts from being perfect. The most bothersome is the lack of real pockets. Now, granted, that's something you probably don't want in MMA shorts, and adding them would probably mess with the otherwise perfectly functional design, but for every other moment of the day when you're not engaging in violent behavior, it's nice to be able to keep your phone close. The second thing is that you'll need to stock up on safety pins if you plan on washing these. The drawstrings inevitably come ALL THE WAY out on the way, even in you to them beforehand. No idea how. Plan on rethreading them regularly. (Also, I'm guessing they went one size fits all for the strings themselves, so we fat guys don't have a lot of slack to work with, you'll need to suck it in to get them tied.)The third thing b you need to be aware of is that the Velcro on the fly and waist closure is AGGRESSIVE. That's awesome for the the function of the shorts, but again, when it comes time to wash your workout clothes, it can be a little rough on your fancy tech materials and/or sports drawers. Those honestly minor complaints aside, I gotta repeat that you're probably never going to find a more functional pair of shorts for the money. Highly recommend.

Runs a bit large in the waist.
I am fairly new to Crossfit and have lost some weight, but in nearly all pants and shorts I own, I am currently a 36. So, I ordered a 36, but this felt way too big. Had to use the drawstring to keep them from falling down. As a result, the ample amount of velcro in the waist and fly would fold and bunch up. Not very comfortable and looked a bit weird. The velcro isn't very conducive to letting you cinch it up to tighten the waist, either. While the material was light, it felt pretty good and breathable. The stitching seemed strong. I have long legs, and didn't feel like these were too short or were riding up. Ultimately, had to return them because of the waist, but might consider buying a 34.

Versatile, big bang for your buck.
Pleasantly surprised. Good bang for your buck. They're sleek, comfortable, and able to take a beating. Use these for sparring and grappling. Not as good as some higher end shorts, but you're definitely getting the most for your money. Also, they dry fast so feel free to go for a swim. Only downside isn't really a downside- no pockets. These are purpose made for training, not Instagram pics.

About the buyer
Well, when I ordered these in a 38, they were on back order. The seller contacted me within 24 hours and helped me with an alternative AND they gave me a free t shirt. I will be waiting a month or so to try to reorder these pants to give a good review. But as far as customer service goes? these people are awesome!

happy about quick service
Ordered Friday(?) and received it on Tuesday, happy about quick service. The shorts are awesome. I didn't quite know what to expect when ordering them but they're legit awesome. I'm about a 32'' waist and I saw others say to order small so I ordered the 30'' and they fit perfectly. Snug around the waist but allow for complete flexibility.

Great shorts for any WOD
These shorts are light, comfortable, and stretch with movements to allow for great comfort with mobility. From squats, to Burpee's, to box jumps, these shorts have been the most comfortable pair of workout gear I've put on. The only advice I give is when you wash them, make sure the Velcro is completely "closed" because it is aggressive enough to mess up other clothing, and might as well tie the drawstring too unless you like re-feeding it back into the loop again. Aside from that, great shorts to workout in, triple stitching, and good quality. Will definitely buy again.

Use for fighting = awesome. Do not run/jog in these.
My measurements:87cm waist 34.2in.102cm hips 40in.I got a 34, and it fits a little big. I think it actually has about 36" of material around the waist. You will need to use the string ties to lock this down, or... do what I did, and add elastic in the waist. I can sew.The material is nice, and soft. The length is long, and comes to my knees.there is no cut in the side, but the stretchiness of the cloth allows for full range of motion. You can lay on your back and not have them ride up to see your underwear.the only issue I have is the stitching between the legs.Using these for fighting, where your legs are spread apart most of the time, is fine.If you need to run in these, you will scratch up your inner thigh. One of our teachers makes us jog 1 mile to start training, then jump rope.If you jump with both feet.. no problem. If you jump rope like you jog (with alternating feet), then you get the scratching. They look good. They feel good (accept the scratching).Worth the money.

I love the fabric and the price is good
I love the fabric and the price is good. It stretches as you workout your legs no problem. I'm a muscular 6' 265lbs guy and the XXL fits great. I'd prefer them to be maybe 2 inches shorter as they typically sit at the top of my kneecap while standing. It looses 2 stars because the waistband is 3 inches too tall. It feels like a tummy control waistband just below my belly button. So I have to fold it down then tie the drawstring on the outside. I hope they release a shorter version.
