HONEST REVIEW WITH TIPS!!!! It’s long, but worth the read!
I found out about poly gel nails from TikTok videos. For months, I thought about trying it out. Since I was stuck in quarantine I decided to look the product up in more depth. I reviewed a plethora of different brands (went down so many rabbit holes, sheesh) and watched a few tutorial videos. I decided it was best to go with this one for a few reasons. Here are 10 NEED TO KNOW TIPS:1. Almost ALL products are gonna have at least one bad review (probs more if it has more reviews). This one was the best one to me and I’m glad I picked it.2. If you aren’t a professional then it’s gonna take PRACTICE. Don’t think you can just become a doctor by watching Grey's Anatomy... c’mon now.3. It was easy to use compared to actual acrylic and not sticky if you use the correct solution.4. I bought my own UV/LED nail light on amazon for like $19.5. I also bought my own primer (ITS NEEDED) & I used a 70% Alcohol solution to help shape/mold the gel.6. Start off with shorter nails FIRST. Don’t get cocky your first time and try to do some long stiletto nails when you haven’t even figured out everything.7. Prep your nails before anything. Prep. Prep. Prep. That means, wash ya nasty hands, dry off, file/shape/trim, push back or trim cuticles, file your whole nail gently (the whole nail people), buff a little, and add your primer or dehydrator. DO IT. IT MAKES THEM LAST LONGER. Help get your moneys worth.8. Speaking of lasting longer... Don’t glob a lot of gel on at first! You should start off small and add more if needed- don’t be wasteful.9. Also, make sure to not press too hard on the nail forms to decrease any spillage or bubbles (clean around the cuticle area with alcohol dampened brush to remove excess).9. Follow the instructions Aka: apply base coat, cure under lamp 30-60 sec, apply poly gel with brush that is slightly dampened with alcohol solution, shape gel, cure for 90-130 sec (better safe than sorry, so cure them long), then WIPE OFF with a cotton ball that has rubbing alcohol on it to get rid of the stickiness, shape/file the whole nail even if the shininess is tempting to keep (this is important), apply top coat evenly, cure again for a long time, wipe off again with alcohol, apply cuticle oil, and boom you’re done.I hope this can at least help one person. I love it and everything came perfectly packaged. The colors are great, file works wonderfully, brush/applicator is nice quality, nail forms fit my nails, and came with a lot of them. The tubes are “small” to some people, but if you use my tips on not being wasteful and how to make them last long then you’ll be fine. Goodluck!!

A Real Money Saver!
The media could not be loaded. I was spending $75+ dollars every 2 weeks at a nail salon. I am an artist by nature and found I could do a better job myself and save the money. My nails look natural and not fake which is very important to me. Plus the hybrid gel is easy to apply (do thin coats) and doesn't crack; it's strong. Love it.

First time polygel user
My first time trying polygel! Loved this set, and they feel stronger and healthier than Acrylics. Though I’d recommend using paper forms or applying polygel over tips than using the dual forms it comes with.Pros: easy to work with and fix mistakes, great coverage, good shade range, multi useCons: incredibly sticky, in squeeze tubes and not pots, time consuming until you practice enough to get faster

Fast and easy
First off I do want to mention that I have been using builder gel and tips or false nails for the longest time. So I do have some practice with using both hands to apply the dual forms (the clip that comes with the kit is useful) Additionally, I’ve had a lot of practice painting nail tips after applying them however, I am absolutely not an expert. I came across poly gel when looking at the Beatles brand for new colors. Overall, the product was super easy to use the slip solution made being able to mold the nail easy in the duel form. The second photo of my nails without any polish was the first set with the poly gel. I did not use enough product in the top of the nails snapped off. On the second set that’s painted brown, I used more product, about twice as much. It’s better to use more product as you can easily wipe it off and set it to the side to use for the next nail. The curing time was accurate 120 seconds was perfect. The dual forms if you use too much product will be hard to pop off. I would advise to avoid getting the poly gel on the edges of the dual form to prevent that from happening. I also have pure acetone that I will dip a small, thin brush in to remove any excess polish after removing the duel, forms and filing the nail. I would highly recommend investing in a nail drill. I got one for about $16 from Amazon. Ensuring that your cuticles and nail beds are cleaned and filed correctly ensures the nails to stay on for as long as possible. If you’re someone that has a basic knowledge of nail techniques, this is a great product to have and I think poly gel is a great investment versus spending the money out of salon for a full set. I will note that the first time I made the first set it took me about an hour the second time the set that I painted brown took me about 3 1/2 hours, due to having to remove the previous set and going slower to ensure product was distributed correctly on each section of the dual form, so the nail does not break.
