This is a nice travel set! Good value! The brush handle size is in between a long handle and short handle brush, so it’s easy to work with. The brushes retain their shape well after use and washing. Minus one star because I wish the brush hairs were firmer. These brushes have a medium firmness, and that doesn’t really work well with heavy body acrylics. I have other economical brushes that are firmer. It’s just hard to paint with softer brushes unless you’re doing ONLY watercolor. But the captions say you can use these with acrylics. I’m not completely sold on these brushes for acrylics. But they’re still a very nice set on-the-go or to paint with friends. Our paintings still came out nice. We used open acrylics, which are a softer paint, and the brushes were still a little floppy. I just think I might have had better brush strokes in certain places if the brush hairs were firmer.

I've only just started painting and this is the first set I've ever bought, beforehand I was just using some brushes I bought from a local crafts store. The difference between the products was night and day. The brushes that came in this set are very nice and sleek with a nice carrying case, and are even labeled so you know what order they go in according to size. They paint very smoothly and fluidly on canvas and don't seem dry out nearly as fast as my other brushes did, which is great for me because I go through a lot of paint. This is the perfect little brush set for someone just getting into the hobby like me, and probably for someone with a little more experience I'm sure. Great product for a very reasonable price.

I was so excited when he told me he got me new brushes but I was sceptical that i would have the same issues. I was very wrong! These brushes are amazing! They keep their shape, extremely easy to clean, no bristles fall out, and I appreciate that the set came with a sponge and a palette knife! I could not be happier with this set!

This short handled set has a nice variety - 4 flats, 3 filberts, 1 fan, 4 rounds (2 fine), 1 liner, 2 angled brushes, round sponge, small palette knife all in a nice zippered case. They do have their own numbering system so comparing by brush number isn't an option. I would guesstimate sizes at traditional #6 and smaller. I originally purchased these for acrylic painting but have since used some for oil painting and they work fine. The variety of brushes and case are well worth the price. The brushes are well made, have a good amount of bristle in each brush and have held up to almost daily use for the past 8 months. I admit I was surprised at the quality and durability. I haven't found anything comparable in this price range. Buying additional sets for oil and watercolor.

What I liked about this product was the good value for the amount of paint brushes. My issue as an art student is how much paint they absorbed. I would try to do a crisp line but it would streak. I would have to re-dip my brush multiple times when there was plenty of paint on the brush so that caused me to use more paint. They were also difficult to clean on how tight the bristles were. They are a good set for a beginner painter and have really nice wooden handles that are able to stay in water for extended amounts of time without the paint chipping.

These brushes are made well. It's a very high quality product for a cheap price. Gave this set to my sister-in-law and she loves them.

I love this brush set, it has every size I need, and then some. The brushes are a nice quality too. It comes in a nice case with a sponge. Easy to clean. The case folds back so the brushes stand up. I set them back in the case after washing, so they will dry quickly. Smallest brushes have a plastic tube to protect them.
