Works well
Does have a strong scent, but not unpleasant. Haven’t had any issues with it on my skin except mild dryness. Hasn’t damaged anything. Easy to use. Works well. If you have a lot to remove (like you stupidly painted and entire vinyl window frame) it will get messy. The paint gets kind of goopy like it is halfway dried. I do recommend working with it while still wet, so if you have stubborn parts, spray, let sit for a few minutes, and then give it another spray before you start scrubbing, especially if it is something porous like grout. The previous owners of our house in their infinite lack of wisdom, bought a paint sprayer to prep the house to sell. They obviously had no idea how to use it so naturally they used it everywhere. It all looked great at first glance but after living with it a while we noticed tiny specs of paint EVERYWHERE! Window screens, shower stalls, trim, floors, windows… and then my naive self decided I didn’t like the off white window frame, I wanted it bright white to match the chair rails. Well… latex doesn’t work on vinyl (now you know), so it didn’t age well and I am left cleaning up my mess along with that of the previous owners. In the bathroom, the sprayed paint (courtesy of the previous owners) was all over the tiles and grout, leaving it looking dirty. A simple blade removed it from the tile but the grout was another matter. Soap and water didn’t work. All purpose cleaner didn’t work. Magic Erasers did work but got chewed up super fast! So, I gave up and started scraping out the grout with the intention of redoing it - and then I stumbled upon this stuff. I did still regrout the parts I had already scraped out, but these (desaturated) photos are from a different section and as you can see, the paint was removed! You can see the little specs in the one photo, and a lot less in the other one. I still need to go back and do another pass but now I don’t HAVE to regrout if I don’t want to! And it works well on that window frame too!

Worked amazing on jacket
This stuff is amazing. I had leaned against wet paint in my parka. After doing a search online for possible cleaning products, I saw that this product was safe to use on fabric and thought I had nothing to lose. The coat was ruined with paint. After several applications of this product and with some patience, persistence, rubbing with a cloth and using a stiff plastic brush...all of the paint came off. There is no hint of paint on my coat. I washed as normal and 100% of the paint is removed with no damage to my jacket.

Doesn’t take off older latex paint
If you’re looking to remove latex paint that is older, this doesn’t work. I tired to remove latex paint that a previous homeowner had been painted over oil paint without priming, sprayed it on, waited some time, not a speck of paint came off. I can scrape it off with my fingernail, thought this might be easier than scraping all the woodwork, waste of money.

Works great on cleaning brushes -- hit and miss on anything else
I'm not sure how to "rate" this stuff, because it's pretty much 5 stars for some surfaces, but anywhere from 1 to 3 stars for anything else. I bought this product hoping to clean latex spatter off of concrete, and while it definitely "helps" to soften the latex so you can then get *some* of the paint off with a wire brush and sanding pad, that's about it. Now maybe it works on some concrete better than others, but I'm using this on a patio where there are "paver" blocks, 12x12, the kind you find at any home improvement store, so probably close to what you average user might need to clean paint from. And didn't matter if the paint was fairly new, or an old spot, I sprayed on, followed all the instructions, and then spent a solid ten minutes alternating between spraying the spot and trying to get it off with a wire brush, sanding pad, rag, anything and everything. And again I got *some* off, but it's a lot of elbow grease. So I would't really recommend it for concrete. But, it does work very well for cleaning old latex paint off of brushes, so it's definitely worth getting some if you've got old paint brushes where you can't even move the bristles anymore because somebody didn't wash it out properly. Spray this stuff on your old brush -- wear gloves, do this outside, I'd do it over a bucket of water -- and then work the paint out of the bristles. You need to do this a few times, but works great to dissolve the old latex. It does help if your latex paint is in big spatters -- it does better at removing big globs of paint, than if you've just got some paint spots somebody tried to wipe off while they were fresh, and left a fog of paint behind. That's much more of a challenge for this product, you've got to let it sit a while, then rub, wipe off, spray more on, and keep doing this several times before the "fog" of paint is gone. And it works great for latex paint on bare metal, that comes right off. And if you've got plain wood, that got paint spatters on it (like flooring or garden benches or like that), if you spray this stuff on and *gently* rub it with a rag, that'll slowly remove the paint without damaging the wood. At least in my tests. And it works to remove latex paint spatters from oil painted surfaces, BUT it also starts to dissolve whatever paint is under the latex spot. So you'll definitely get a "clean spot" if you use this stuff on a paint spatter over some other paint, I don't think I'd even risk it unless you're just trying to remove thick spots of latex so you can have a smooth surface to then repaint. As for value for money, I'd say this was definitely worth the eight bucks, even if it's not very effective on concrete. Oh, and it doesn't smell too bad, either, kinda like industrial soap. But still I would only use this in a well-ventilated area.

SOME DOES, SOME DOESN'T, SO WHAT?
Will remove most fresh latex paints. Well weathered top coats become more of a challenge. A soft nylon brush often helps once the product has set for 3 minutes. Apply it to the article with plenty of drop clothes underneath so it doesn't take the finish off an unintended surface or floor. May take more than one application. Be patients and above all other things, follow the instructions. THE MOST AGREEABLE USE I FOUND FOR THIS PRODUCT WAS REMOVING DRIED LATEX PAINT FROM MY FINGERS, HANDS, ELBOWS, AND THAT AREA BEHIND YOUR ELBOW THAT EVERYONE MISSES WHEN CLEANING DRIED PAINT OFF THEIR BODY. YOU'D HAVE TO BE A PREYING MANTUS TO SPY THE DRIED PAINY BEHIND THE ELBOW. UNLESS YOU ARE MY WIFE. SHE DOESN'T MISS A THING. Splash a little of this mystery ingredient onto a paper towel and rub the affected area. In no time, you are clean as can be. No longer do you have to stray into the guest bathroom or even worse, your wife's kitchen and lather up in the kitchen sink, wetting down everything in sight including the house cat, floor, counter tops and on occassion, the ceiling. I would estimate that 75% of the time this product will dissolve latex paint on multiple surfaces. But I can guarantee you that 100% of the time it will dissolve latex paint from your body parts in a minimal of effort Try it, you'll like it. But wait there's more. It doesn't smell bad either..

IT WORKS!
WOW! This really works. I love it! Really gets rid of the paint on a number of surfaces. The bathroom tile really surprised me, but it has worked so far on everything. I took black paint off a gold-framed mirror, and the gold still shines! Perfection! Love it! Off wood floors and framing, screens and hands. And it smells so much better than anything else I've tried!!!! As far as ease of use, spray, wait a few seconds, then wipe off! What else do you need to know? IT WORKS!

Great product
I have a Graci TrueCoat 360 Variable Speed TrueAirless Paint Sprayer that does a great job but is very difficult to clean paint residue as it has a soft porous surface. I decided to try this product and it works great, even easily removing older dried paint. My paint gun now looks new again.

This product save me a lot of $$$ after an accident
I work for The United States Postal Service. I handle a lot of packages on a daily basis and unfortunately, have to deal with a lot of leakages when manufacturers don't properly pack liquid products. A few days ago, I picked up a package that appeared to be wet. What I didn't realize, as I was picking up the parcel, was that it was leaking paint all over the place. The package was from an Automotive touch-up company. They were shipping what probably was a can of car paint in either can or spray form. In any case, spots of paint leaked all over my brand-new work pants and newly bought sneakers. I was really, really mad. I thought that my clothes would be absolutely ruined. Within 30 minutes I was searching Amazon for some kind of paint remover. Doing a quick search I just happened upon this product. Had no idea how effective it would be on shoes and clothing, but I decided that I needed to buy *something* rather quickly and blindly added this to my cart. This morning I sprayed Motsenbocker's on my work pants and sneakers. I let it sit for a good 20 minutes. I then took a spare toothbrush and worked the liquid into both. The results of the sneakers were immediate. The paint easily lifted off the surface. I was so relieved. The pants, on the other hand, took some time to see results. After using the toothbrush to work the paint remover into the spot stains, I couldn't really tell how well this product was working. It wasn't until after I threw the pants into the washer and dryer that I saw the remarkable results...the stains were gone! This product was a godsend. I thought I would be spending $$$ on replacement pants and sneakers. However, this stuff did a remarkable job of removing the paint. Easily the best product I bought this month! Highly recommended.
