Rajah Tandoori Masala (Spice Mix) 100g

Since our closest Indian market closed (and it was 40 minutes away), I have not had a reliable source of Indian spices. I like the Rajah brand and have used their spices for years. The 100g tins are a convenient size - not too large, not too small - and they stack well in our pantry. Tandoori Masala spice mix is a flavorful curry blend without being "hot" - it is actually quite mild. I've actually bought a wide variety of spice blends from Amazon and gifted someone who kept talking about having a *boring kitchen*, spice wise. So I bought ..think it was 5 or 6 different ones and he is still raving about how outstanding everything is tasting now ....that's the best review, I'd say, right? :-) This is probably the one he speaks about the most.

This seasoning packet is just so versatile, and delicious. It is a definite must try as a rub on Chicken, all parts. Great with Lamb and seafood too!

Arrived nicely packaged. Plastic cap, and pop top opener (care there, could spill). Great tasting - hints of cumin, but ii is slightly sweet, no after taste. Will buy again.

Good base to cook butter chicken. Well balanced for a spice mix, but not over biased to any specific component.

Over the years, this has become our go to product for a flavorful, amazing marinade. I don't think we'll ever switch brands!

I had no idea what I was getting when I ordered this product, but a recipe called for it and so... Anyway, I've purchased this and Garam Masala as well. Both provide great flavors when used according to recipe directions. I've tried it on fish, chicken, and pork. I've also used it, lightly, with stir-fried vegetables. I've been happy with all of the results. I was asked to provide a comment about this regarding cinnamon. One of the ingredients is cinnamon but I could not detect it separately from the other ingredients. It was listed as the fourth ingredient on the side of the can. the Garam Masala listed cinnamon as the second ingredient.

A very reasonable prroduct. Good quality and a flavoursome spice.
