WGV Hanging Terrarium Globe, Width 6", Height 6.5", DIY Air Succulent Planter, Clear Glass Vase Orb with Flat Bottom, Candle Holder for Windowsill Outdoor Garden Decor, 1 Piece

I ordered two of the largest size…arrived very well packaged..no damage. Are holding a pound and 1/2 of sand, a small geode and a large air plant! Couldn’t be happier!

Bought 4 of these from WGV. Two 3.5” drop shaped with double hooks and two 7” globe. The 7” globes are single hook, can sit up on a table or be hung and have two holes for large/tall plant growth room which I like about the bigger ones. See the last two pictures for the 7” globes. The double hooked ones can be hung connected to others like tiers. Additionally, I’ve bought other several shapes and size variations from other brand manufacturers for some gifts that I’m making for a few friends and family members. I like the 3.5” tear drop and my 5” turnip shaped one best, especially because they are double hooked (teardrop only) and you can connect several of them to make a multi tiered design and because of the size and glass strength/durability. Sizes 3.5” and up to 5” are best because the glass is thicker and sturdier while you can still put things in them. I have a 5” turnip shaped one that you’ll see in my 3rd picture that is doable but thicker than that, would result in a very easy to break and delicate piece. See all my current other style size variations in my 5th picture as well. So remember, the bigger the glass terrarium size, the weaker the glass thickness and then it’s very easy to break. And I mean very easy. These came pretty quick like most of my Amazon purchases, and well packaged with bubble wrap, clean and without any defects. I’d still wash them if you plan to put any plants in them. For these guys, I’m going to use one individually for an air plant with rocks and sand for a gift for my niece. The other will be paired with the turnip shaped one I previously purchased with an air plant in it and a couple of succulents/dangling succulents in the bottom turnip shaped one. Love these glass pieces. They are so fun for little gift making projects and pretty to hang in your windows or bathroom. I definitely recommend buying these and other shapes and sizes as well. I added other pictures of my supplies and other terrariums I’ve made to give you some inspiration on how they can be used. Just remember what I said about the bigger the size is, the weaker the glass is. Good luck!

my mistake, I really wanted and needed larger globes. They are glass so they are fragile. I did think they were pricey. As they are, they are not a great gift, but I will add some tinsel and a battery candle and they will be beautiful;.

It's absolutely beautiful, but wasn't packed very well. Two pieces were broken from it when I took it out of the box. I already had some bare root cuttings I wanted to plant in it, though, & since the pieces were there, I opted to glue them back on rather than return & wait for a replacement.

I had the 4" globe before and my air plants were out-growing it. I decided to look for a larger one and saw the seven" globe shown here along with the other sizes. I placed the order and when it arrived, It seemed the perfect fit; I added a third red air plant for color and variety and it looked great. That was in December. I soak the plants twice monthly and every other time, I wipe down the outside of the globe for dust. Today as I was doing this, the globe broke and came apart in my hands (luckily covered by the towel). I knew it had seemed more fragile when I unpacked it, in comparison with the smaller one. I noticed after this happened how thin the glass really was. Maybe I put too much pressure on it. I guess I don't understand, other than money/cost, why they would produce the larger globes so thinly. At any rate, for $13, I ordered a replacement, but just a little peeved that the mfg skimped out on thickness. Now I know to be extra careful next time when cleaning and just wanted potential buyers to be aware.

I am obsessed with air plants because of how low maintenance they are, so I wanted to get a hanging terrarium for some plants I also bought on Amazon. As other reviews have stated, these are very delicate. I also ordered a similar one from Hinterland and the glass was just as thin - almost identical to this one from WGV. So my experience is that they all seem to be very fragile, regardless of seller/brand.The globe sits flat on any surface if you want it to. The air holes are polished, not sharp. The hanger is actually part of the blown glass, a closed loop that you can easily get ribbon, string, pipe cleaner, etc. through without trouble. The wide, front opening is small, but adequate to get a 2-3" plant into it. You have about 1/2"-3/4" inch of clearance on the bottom for your filler before it's high enough to spill out the front opening. If you were using something like moss, you could go higher, as it wouldn't spill out like pebbles or sand. But BE CAREFUL when putting any hard or heavy filler in - do it gently, in small amounts. Do not pour or drop anything into it - this glass will certainly crack. I had no trouble with pea gravel, I just took my time spooning it in, careful not to let it drop from any distance onto the glass.This is a great piece for hanging well out of the way of kids and pets. One knock against a wall or metal object though, and it's probably toast. So put it somewhere safe, stand back and admire how wonderful it looks. Very nice addition to a bathroom - makes it feel like a spa! Given how fragile it is, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 - I would prefer a heftier glass just to add some protection to it.

While the larger the size, the thinner the glass, even the largest size is perfect for a terrarium or hang it as a planter. Either way, the glass will catch the sunlight, while the plants flourish.

Just as described, all arrived in good condition. No complaints, but I have purchased the same product elsewhere for a bit less hence the 4 stars. But these definitely worked for their intended purpose.
