This is the actual husk, not the finer powder you find in capsules etc. This is what you need! I put two teaspoons in a smoothy every day and my gut issues are gone! Pooping like a legend and saving a fortune in loo paper. One wipe Willy they call me! If you know, you know ;)

These are unflavoured psyllium seed husks also known as ispaghula.The husks are not ground down into a powder like some alternatives, so when mixing with water to drink they do NOT dissolve away to nothing. Be prepared for a very "bitty" texture when drinking the mixture of husks and water. A vigorous stirring is required to prevent the husks simply all floating on the surface.As mentioned, there is no added flavour. However, this can easily be added to taste e.g. fruit juice or squash.The container comes complete with a serving scoop. The directions indicate 2 scoops (9g) per usage. This would be 55 servings per 500g tub. Based upon my usage that would seem fair.The tub I received had an 8 month "best before" at time of delivery.

I did my research before buying this particular husk product and I’m happy with the quality and the price.I’m adding a tablespoon to my muesli and wait a bit for it to expand before I consume. Or simply add a sprinkle over salads.I like the packaging as well , very compact and when I buy bigger pack I put it in a glass jar to keep the moisture away.

Was recovering post-op & on antibiotics too so was concerned about constipation so starting using this again (Previously used when trying to lose weight). Certainly did the trick with keeping me regular, esp when sprinkled on porridge (which also helps).I take a heaped teaspoon 3 times daily, either dissolved in a glass (approx 8 fluid oz) of any liquid (eg tea, coffee, juice, water etc), or sprinkled over my food & mixed in, eg cereal, stews, any dish with sauce/gravy & it even works well over salads! I always drink a glass of liquid (about 8 fl oz) with the food though if not diluting directly into a glass of liquid.If taking with water alone, initially may need a bit of getting used to the texture - best to drink it quickly all in one go, but it's completely tasteless & harmless & it works!A great natural way to get more fibre into your diet without adding calories, helps keeps you regular in an effective but gentle way, & it seems it may have other health benefits too.Bonus is it's very reasonably priced too. I kg should last approx. 6mths or longer if you don't take it daily.
