Quality product shipped in a protective case and delivered in prestine condition. Excellent choice for interior trim carpentry tolerances without breaking the bank on steel. Aluminum is lighter while still maintaining high quality. Would recommend and buy again if needed.

It is a stout straight edge. It is flat, straight and has a bit of weight.

This is my absolute go to tool when trying to make sure something is flat. I have used it numerous times and it is beyond useful. It is straight and sturdy, surviving in my chaotic shop without issue.

Pretty straight at a good price; note that the surface edge is flat but there seems a little bend. Handle carefully as it is not the harder material (steel) typical measuring instruments.

The item looked good, seems like it will do the job, but it was sent to me damaged. The package was sealed when I received it, and the package was in good shape- so I am guessing the damage occurred at the factory prior to it being boxed up. There was a large scratch on the straight edge portion that would have made the straight edge good for crafts and overall fairly accurate, but not a precise instrument capable of measuring 0.001 variations. I bought this to determine if a cylinder head needed to be resurfaced or not, but it couldn't do the job due to the damage. I am giving a 5 for the quality of the item and thinking that the item I received was just a damaged item that made it through quality control.

I needed this to check a set of SBC heads and the block decks before installing new head gaskets. Very nice. I used a high powered LED flashlight to look for gaps between the straight edge on the head surface since my finest gauge would not fit between the two surfaces…no gaps found! My only other comment would be on the flat edge; it’s slightly rounded on the outside edges and just a bit narrow (which has pros and cons), not a reason to deduct a star.

Lightweight but sturdy, ridged aluminum construction. Works well for checking turners of surfaces like engine blocks and head decks.

Definitely worth it

Bought this to test cylinder head straightness, ships quick and it's well built. Only gave it 4 stars cuz I wish the edges were sharper, so I can confirm if I'm sitting the ruler straight on the head and not tilting it sideways.
