I spent a couple of late, late nights compulsively reading reviews and watching videos for a suitable singing bowl for my wife's upcoming birthday, while she's away to visit her family. I love the vids of this one, the good sound, and that multiple buyers said it's not difficult to make it sing (which I know will be verrry important for my wife, as a long singing tone for meditation is the primary reason she wants one), it's not super-expensive, and it seems a bit bigger than just about anything in this price range. The big 'if' came from fakespot analysis showing that there are some BS reviews on this bowl (as of today, 9/21/2022 it has a 'C' grade on fakespot). So I was nervous, because I needed to get a good bowl and make sure that it actually sings well, but time is getting shorter. A couple of reviews also mentioned cosmetic issues, so, I was a little nervous, but hopeful. The bowl was delivered a half-hour ago. I opened it up and the first thing I noticed was the striker actually look pretty cool. It's packed in a foam cutout at the top of the box. Removed the next packing layer and the bowl itself was wrapped in plastic. Un wrapping it my reaction was basically, "What the-- how does this look so nice?!" Yeah I can see the human touch in the paint, in a couple of very tiny parts on the bottom, but that human touch doesn't detract from how great this looks, at all. Those pictures people posted that look so good are def not shopped. That's how the bowl looks. It shockingly great looking. And it's not tiny. Feels very solid, and the tone when struck is (happily) more mellow than I expected. So the big test: does it sing? I've never tried resonating a bowl before (just crystal wine glasses) but I got it going immediately. Holy cow, it's good. And the sound does undulate audibly (if you've watched some of the vids you know what I mean), which is fantastic. I'm quite pleased with the sound. Overall, I'm 100% happy to be gifting this to my wife. I was prepared in case I needed to return the item and instead go shopping at a local incense-stuffed "esoteric" store to find one for at least twice the price, but I'm glad that's not at all necessary. This is a good product. Damn good, actually, and the price is excellent.

It was so hard for me to find Tibetan sound bowl that was bigger than 4 inches but not a huge one. I was so happy to find this, but was nervous about what I would receive. This bowl is BEAUTIFUL! Well made, sturdy, durable and sounds great. It’s perfect!

It looks and sounds just as all the other pictures and videos show - its beautiful, with deep and full-bodied sound. I looked at other bowls and there wasn't anything 'wrong' with them (one had a lovely sound, was a tad smaller perhaps, half the price), THIS ONE has a lower, deeper sound and it's perfect, it's just what I was looking for! Yes, it's relaxing ,calming, very easy to play, 'make sing'. The quality, appearance and function make it worth every penny! I bought it as a New years gift for myself, and it is most certainly giftable! It was boxed/packaged in a foam-formed cushion. Wonderful buying experience all the way around. Thank you!

For the pricepoint, this singing bowl provides a resonant tone and sustainable singing with the sueded tool provided. The workmanship is lovely and the sacred flower geometry design is beautiful. Good purchase for my first one!

The first bowl I received had a deep sound which I loved but it had a very noticeable flaw in the inner wall and the bowl did not sit flat and I had to take the time to adjust the bowl in my hand. I ordered a replacement and that bowl is lovely, but the sound is much higher than the first one. I ordered a third to see what would come and that bowl had a sound equal to the second one so the third one went back immediately. Now came the difficult choice on which of the first two to choose. The second bowl played easily and was very loud - it also had a vibration and tone that lasted quite long after I stopped physically playing it. The second bowl also was thicker at the rim, and probably contributed to its sound difference over the first bowl. It settled into my hand every time without having to adjust it. There really were no complaints with this second bowl, it was just very different than the first one. I struggled with which bowl to keep as I really did not want two bowls with the same basic design, even though they both had a different sound when played and had other physical differences. Even though the first bowl did not sit into my hand comfortably without having to adjust it, I opted to go with that bowl as I really do prefer the lower tones. So, I kept the first bowl with its flaws and decided that even with the flaws it was music to my ears - lesson I guess is even with flaws, we can be beautiful. So it's a hit and miss on this bowl as different bowls had noticeably different characteristics and tones when played. I would definitely recommend buying the bowl, you just might have to order more than one to get what you're looking for.

Beautiful sound and reverberation. Definitely has a calming effect. It is made very well and the designs on the bowl are pretty.
