Great Little Car
My 4 year old son told us that he'd like to get a remote control car for Christmas, so naturally I came to Amazon to start reading product reviews. This one caught my eye because of the bright colors that will make it easily seen while playing outside. Upon reading reviews, I found there wasn't much people didn't like about this car and it was stated that younger children easily adapted to using the controller. I decided it would be a great fit and purchased it while the seller was offering a discount coupon.I recieved my package a few days ago and played around with it to make sure it worked. I have to say this little car is fun and quick and I have yet to get it stuck due to the unique design. It does require 4 AAA batteries for the car and 2 AA batteries for the controller, both not included. It does state to turn the car on before the remote so the remote can connect to the car properly. I made sure to do this and had no issues with it. As another reviewer stated, the controller is a bit tricky to get used to. It took me a few minutes playing around with it before I got the hang of it. For me, turning was the trickiest part. I have yet to give it to my son, but I feel that he won't have an issue figuring this out.Since it's a gift and I haven't played with it enough for it to know, I'll edit my post about battery life.**I will note that we use Duracell batteries.**So far, I'm very pleased with this car and at this point would purchase as a gift for friends/family or recommend someone else to purchase it.

Great car and company worked to correct error
The review below was written a few months prior to my revision today. Amicool responded to my review and offered to refund our money or send us a replacement. We chose the replacement and are very happy with it. My son is thrilled to have his car "back" and so far it is working very well. (He has been driving it for about a week.) I was impressed that Amicool reached out to us and worked to correct the problem. I know that things happen and products sometimes malfunction- it is not unusual. What impressed me is that Amicool worked to make it right.Original review:This car was a great birthday present... or it was for about two days. Then one of the wheels stopped working forward. Goes backwards just fine, but when you try to go forwards one wheel won't move and so the whole car goes in circles. I tried to leave seller feedback but they did not respond and now the record of the feedback I left has disappeared, but the product isn't available as an option in the "rate my experience" products when I go to "leave seller feedback". Even worse, the website for the company Amicool doesn't seem to work. My 8 year old son LOVED the car and I would really like to resolve this because we were otherwise really happy. Great tricks, very good battery life (we use rechargeable) easy to use, very fast.

Good product. Perfect for an older toddler or older.
Good product. Perfect for an older toddler or older. My 2yo has some trouble navigating the remote. Both toggles need to be forward for it to move forward, both back to reverse, only 1 triggered to turn. I think if it were set up with 1 toggle for forward/reverse and the other toggle for turning it would be simpler navigation. The center button is an unlabeled power button. Then there is a power switch on the car itself. At any rate, it's a good product, durable. Works well with uneven grass, leaves falling, even gets around the black walnuts on the ground. I didn't have high expectations for battery life, but was pleasantly surprised we got half a dozen uses out of them. At one point, the tire started coming off and I was easily able to slip it back on.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I did get an extended warranty just to be safe (I always have low expectations of kids toys), but so far it's held up well. I would purchase again for my kids or a gift for others.

Durable with long battery life
We bought this remote control car along with another similar one (in a different color from a different manufacturer). This car has lasted 4 months with a 4 year old who likes to throw it around. The other we purchased did not last. So we ended up ordering two more of these. One to replace the other brand we had bought for our 6 year old. And another because they are so popular out our house we wanted a third for when the cousin visits. These are not anything like the remote control cards I had as a kid. Those never lasted. I never expected a product at this price point to have such longevity and durability. The kids drive it through mud, run it into things and are generally rough on it (they even gave the cars a pit stop and took off the tires and put them back on again). We need to recharge the battery on these after 3-4 hours of play. Which ends up about once a week for us. The kids have been playing with these since Xmas and the interest has not let up. The younger just moves the controls around without really knowing what he is doing but the 6 year old has learned how to navigate which requires a more sophisticated hand control and understanding of how to use each side of the control. He figured it out on his own over months of play and that was real fun to watch him discover how to control the car through play.

Fun car, kids love it. Company replaced defective one.
Update: the company reached out to me and asked if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I actually said a replacement because it’s a fun car and my kids love to be chased by it. So far no pairing issues after having it for a few weeks. It devours batteries, but is worth it.It’s actually a great little car. Pretty tough to steer with tank controls, but it’s a lot of fun...until the remote stop pairing. You get anywhere from 10 seconds to 2 minutes of pair time until you have to turn off and on the car and remote. What’s the point of you have to do that so often? Not even worth $20-$30 if it won’t stay paired.
