Surf Cafe Living: Cooking, Entertaining and Living by the Sea

Purchased as a gift for my cousin & her hubs who are surfing & cross fit fans in general, from our foodie family and doing their nursery in surf mode. This was a Christmas gift in keeping with the theme ;) Being older and knowing a bit more, I knew about this couple and their place in Ireland & wanted to expand their horizon to show them there was surfing in ALL sorts of places and ways to decide to make a living out of it as well. They were charmed and looking forward to getting their new one as well. Great pics, very delicious recipes and a wonderful example of how life can work out when you follow what you truly love.

I like this book but it's less surfy and more Ireland coastal. The style is cool. I think if you live in a colder coastal climate and love the surf lifestyle, this is dead on. However, if you're looking for a summertime escape, it's heavier food and hygge living. I do like that it's divided up by seasons and tells a photographic story of this rad oceanside cafe. Also, it's good to be aware that though the pictures and styling are amazing, this is mostly a cookbook and not so much a lifestyle/ furnishings/ decorating/ surfing book. Again, this book is absolutely gorgeous and really cool but not the surf cafe style I thought it would be.

Much more than a cookbook for surfers, this book is an ode to living life with passion, beauty and joy. The breathtaking photographs and vibrant illustrations easily convey the Lamberths' zestful approach to home decorating, entertaining and celebrating. Like the recipes in their previous book, the easily followed step-by-step directions allow the reader to make food that is simple and satisfying with creative touches delivering a special flourish. This formula is also followed in essays about such topics as cheese making, bee-keeping and devising holiday decor that are interspersed throughout the book. A great book for anyone who wants to maximize the pleasures of living life by the sea.

Fun book for surf themed style in the home. great additional recipes as well. Well worth buying...

WONDERFUL BOOK

The cookbook is wonderful and it also gas other wonderful stories in it.

This book is my new favorite cookbook. The recipes are easy to make and sooooo good. Stuffed butternut squash sure went down well in our household!! The book is great to look at – real nice shots of the scenery and surf scene on the other side of the Atlantic. All this plus home improvement tips!! A winner.

I bought the first book by Jane and Myles Lamberth and loved it, so I was stoked to hear they had produced a second. This one doesn't disappoint, with the same mix of great healthy recipes and tales from the couple's life on the west coast of Ireland, coupled with great photos and cool illustrations. There are dozens of great recipes and the big phat veggie soup is a regular in my home and cola pulled pork is great for a party. Surf Cafe Living would make a fine gift.

Gorgeous book, I have it on display in kitchen as front cover is like a piece of art. Well written and just makes you want to disappear to the coast in a camper van. Love it.
