GCI Outdoor Pod Rocker Outdoor Rocking Chair with SunShade Canopy

Great camping chair. I bought one for me and one for my wife and we have really enjoyed them. The pod design is comfortable but not hot in the summer and the rocker function is smooth and enjoyable. They are pricier than the cheap camping chairs you can get, but the fabric is thick and well stitched, the frames are solid, and the shock aided rocking function is great. The fact that these fold up into a standard camping chair size in a bag with a shoulder strap is a plus. I've had the chairs that fold up into rectangles and they are much more difficult to transport.

I sat in a rocking chair from this company at someone's home and loved it. Then I looked up the brand and found this chair, even better than the one I tried. This chair is wide, has arm rests, has a place for my phone and for a drink. There is also a sun shade that can be flipped back when not in use. Most important to me this is a great rocking chair. The legs terminate in two ski-like bases. This allows you to sit comfortably in sand or dirt without sinking. When you rock forward, or go to stand up, two additional legs make contact with the ground. This gives you more support to stand. The chair is a little heavy, but worth it for the experience of a sturdy chair with a comfortable seat and a great rocking motion. I advise you check the dimensions and weight in the description. I cannot more strongly recommend this chair. The only thing I cannot address is durability, because I haven't had it long.

Such a great chair! I bring mine to my son's football and baseball games and it is much more comfortable that the other folding camping chairs we had because it's wider and there's nothing to dig into your legs. The rocking function is great and the sun shade is perfect and can be moved all the way forward or all the way back. You will not sit straight upright like in other chairs, you will sort of lounge back in it, which makes it even more comfortable. The chair is very sturdy and sits well on uneven ground. The color is nice and so far has not faded in the sun this year. It is definitely heavier to carry in the bag because of the hydraulics and additional framing but I am happy with the purchase!

It comes in a very nice carying bag , it is easy to pull the chair from the bag , easy to unfold, the comfort is absolutely amazing! If you have had past rockers and your on your tip toe to rock it back and forth, then when you sit up it springs you ford in an uncomfortable way, this doesn't. My feet stays on the ground. I can recline, rock and sit up comfortably. It has a sun shade on that lifts up to at least 4 different levels and it is sturdy! It won't come down on you and hit your head or fall back, It locks in place. It is also easy to pack back up in the nice roomy carrying bag that is a shoulder strap. This is definitely hands down one of the best purchases. I highly recommend this chair.

We have only used the chair one time and it is very comfortable and works well. Sets up easily, rocks well and provides nice shade. It's only one use but performed very well. My only complaint is the carry bag has very low quality stitching. After only 2 times in and out of the bag with the chair, part of stitching is already coming undone on the bag. The bag needs to be much more sturdy as this chair is very heavy and needs more support.

These are super comfy and great shade. And being able to rock is really nice.

Amazing! Easy to set up, super compact, and the upgraded puff style seat is a must. Not overly cushioned but so comfortable. Great for keeping in our travel trailer.

I am a big fan of rocker chairs. I got this one specifically for the beach (beach umbrellas are a PIA). Well packaged and comes in a good carry bag. Unlike some chairs you get, the bag doesn't feel cheap or like it may tear at any moment. Sun visor folds against the back of the chair and slides easily into the bag. It is definitely comfortable to sit in and the side pouch is the perfect touch to hold drinks, phone, or whatever. The sun visor is easy enough to adjust - my only concern is how it will hold its position on a windy beach day - time will tell and I will update with any issues. The visor is positioned well to provide excellent shade with enough space that I could put my arm up, hands behind me head. This bucket style design seems less "rockable" than it's more rigid counterparts, it seems to naturally want to rest in the rocked back position - but it's still super comfortable. Overall, if you're on the fence about getting a nicer chair like this one - do it. You won't regret it.

The chair is very comfortable. The sun shade is the best feature. I like that it rocks. I like it so much I was going to buy another but in the last week the price increased from $138 to $235. Can you say CORPORATE GREED?

Finally a rocking chair that folds... Liked ease of folding and opening the chair in my limited space. Needed a foot stool to get rocking motion going but still a great option for smaller apartments n still getting a rocking chair in. Feels better if placed on carpeted floor space. The back motion in rocking can be seemingly squeaky at times but if plugging in yr ears or watching tv, it's not noticed. Adding cushions into the seat makes it better for back and back of legs when sitting in it. Dunno how long this chair will last but glad to have this as my reading corner chair. Delivery was swift and packaging it came in was good n solid. Not meant for taller people cos neck sticks out above top of chair back line. Adding an additional cushion that hangs on your neck may help then. May also feel a little low for taller people. Wider than regular camping chair so make sure u have width to open on left n right sides.
