They're exactly what theyre supposed to be, same thing I've been wearing for 25 years. 8mm is very small, they're perfect for the upper part of my ear lobe (NOT the cartilage) where the ear is thinner. They're as difficult to close as every continuous hoop-meaning if you don't like/have difficulty with continuous hoops, these will not be for you. For myself, I prefer them because they are so hard to lose, and it took me about fifteen seconds to put them in because I'm used to doing this. My best suggestion for those struggling with them is open and close every earring before putting it in your ear, sometimes the 'post' wire needs a gentle nudge to be bent in the right direction. They won't be for everyone because everyone has a personal preference, but for me they were perfect, exact quality of every other pair of this type I've ever worn, closed perfectly, nice and secure.

I only wear silver hoop earrings and needed more of them. Found these and they were a great price and look great on. I had a little problem getting them to latch but I also have arthritis. The smallest one I had to put away and opt for a stud because of my arthritis but other than that they are a great buy!

At first I didnt understand what people meant in the reviews when they said they "couldn't get these on". Getting them into my earring holes was easy enough, since they are narrow. The difficulty was in sticking the "post" (the piece that goes into your earring hole) into the back hole on the earring body to secure it shut. The way these earrings are made, either the "post" has to be squeezed tighter, or the earring body has to be pulled open wider, to get the post and hole to align so they can snap shut. On larger earrings, or earrings where the post and body are the same gauge all around, doing this is easy to do, but because the "post" is SO short on these, barely enough sticks out from your earlobe to bend, and the earring body is a little too small and stiff to bend or widen easily. I even put them in backwards to see better, but being able to see what I was doing didnt matter much when the earring itself was the problem. It just feels like they weren't designed for people to put into their own ears, and they arent made equally either -- one pair could easily bend, another pair wouldnt budge without pliers. So I would sadly NOT recommend these, especially if you're putting them into a sensitive hole, because of all the manipulation you have to do. The 8mm fit into my 3rd hole and easily around my earlobe, but I couldn't snap them shut because there wasnt enough post sticking out of my ear to squeeze it tight or maneuver it into the back. I could with the 10mm because my 3rd hole is closer to the edge of my ear, but the earring is too big for the look I wanted. So I am returning these, which is too bad because they have a quality look and dodnt annoy my ears, even my recently reopened (after 15 years!) 3rd hole. There are other huggies on Amzn that have a hinge in the center of the hoop, which will be MUCH easier to clasp shut (they just cost more!). Ah well, it's not like I can leave the house and anyone can see them anyway.

These are the perfect replacement earrings for my small cartilage hoops. I got the silver 8mm and 10 mm pack. It comes with 4 pair: 2 pair 8 mm and 2 pair 10 mm. They are tight to close like other reviewers have said, but that's why I wanted them. Once I put these on, I don't take them out. I didn't have trouble putting them in, but I've been using these type of earrings for 26 years. They are comfortable to wear 24/7, since the hinge is flush with the hoop when they're closed. They're comfy to sleep on and everything. Bright, shiny, genuine sterling 925 silver as advertised. Great value and product. I would definitely buy these again. The measurements are accurate and are measured from the inner diameter of the hoop.

I just wanted a pair of earrings I could keep in all the time. They do not get stuck on anything and go with everything. I think I would have gotten a slightly larger size though.

The trick to getting these on securely is to stretch the earring open a tad bit before you put them in your ear,and then make sure that the clasp properly aligns with the opening before you put them on by pretending to close them, so when you do put them on and push the clasp through, you dont have to fight with it to get it closed. They are tiny and impossible to see the clasp go through the hole once they are on your ear, so doing the above worked for me. It takes longer than typical studs of hoops but with some practice you can get them on. If you can find someone to help you,use the help. If you have to do it alone try the method above. Otherwise they seem to be good quality. Still waiting for the soreness to go down from the last pair of cheapies I put in so well see.

Perfect earrings exactly what I was looking for. A bit difficult to close took a couple tries but manageable.
