450 Lbs Capacity Low Lift Transmission Jack with Safety Chain/Strap

Stiff to operate but the scissors did loosen up after a few up and downs and spray of wd40. The hold down strap was required on the job to prevent roll over and adjust to lift trans in place The transmission was 245 lbs ,using the long ratchet was needed. Removed and installed in one day, and not frustrated at all. Good idea.

I've used it 3 times. It's a bit light weight, but works. I would not recommend it for a much bigger transmission.(Had to pull the engine 3 times, as I got shipped 2 defective rebuilt engines with leaking heads twice in a row from a top rated re-builder, so beware, consumer reports aren't what they used to be.)

nothing in my life so far has better represented the phrase "you get what you pay for" this tool is cheap. the welds are ass, the wheel casters get stuck, and the platform is flimsy. the ratchet strap was decent, so at least if you do drop the trans on you from jerking the stuck wheels around, it will fall on you together with it.all in all it did allow me to do the job, but it did not inspire me to do it again with the same equipment. not recommended for truck transmissions or bigger. barely handled the tremec 3650.conclusion, i'll be buying a better one for the next job, any money i saved going cheap turned out lost in the end. but if you only need to do one transmission and want a $200 paperweight, hit that buy now button

First off, the product only came with three wheels in the box not four but a quick hardware store run for a wheel seemed easier than returning. But under load it was very hard to crank up lift. 1/2” impact wrench finally did the trick but manual wrench was impossible. Eventually got the job done - one transmission out and other in. After further inspection it looks like some threads on screw were damaged. Only lifted 100# transmission.Certainly need a transmission jack for the job but maybe not this one.
