Highly recommend
I am so glad I decided to try this Bark box interactive acorn. I have a 7 month old Husky who is a pretty aggressive chewer, and he has yet to crack it open to get the toy inside. I love the concept of a toy within a toy. So once he does finally crack it open I think it will be a nice surprise for him to find another toy instead of stuffing! (That's a win for both of us! Lol) Overall so far seems like a great buy. I'm curious how long it will take my pup gets it torn open. Will be updating once that happens!Update: January 11th 2020I ordered another bark box interactive toy. This time went with the cactus and I am so glad I did. My dog has the acorn and likes it, still hasn't tore it open like he does within a day with his other toys. The cactus has become his new favorite toy. I will continue to buy these. Absolutely amazing dog toy! My dog is very happy and I like not cleaning up stuffing everywhere.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Bought one for my mom’s “super chewer” and one for our corgi. They have become the favored toys for both dogs! While the super chewer is working on destroying his, it’s been 2-3 weeks and the outer cover is still in tact. Meanwhile the corgi loves fetching his.

Nut within a nut within a ball!
If your dog likes to rip toys to shreds, this is the perfect toy! My dog likes to rip out the stuffing and get to the squeaker, which is a nice surprise because the squeaker is another toy. My dog then ripped the second one to shreds and underneath that is a blue spikey ball that ends up being lots of fun and cannot easily be destroyed. Perfect for rough doggies!

Basset Approved
Got this for my basset hound’s 3rd birthday last week. He loved it! And the squeaker (which he usually kills immediately) is still squeaking. He did pull all of the spikes out right away, but that’s not a big deal. I think it will take him a while to get to the inner toys. I would recommend this!

Not for dogs with teeth
I had high hopes for this dog toy. It’s marketed for aggressive chewers, which my dog definitely is! I gave the toy to her and within 5min she had pulled open on of the leaves and was eating a chunk of plastic that fills the leaves to make the crinkle. Shortly after I took the photos she pulled the whole leaf off and I took it away from her. If it was just the oval pineapple “head” I think it may have lasted longer, those skinny leaves were just too easy for her to shred and tear off. The fact that they put pieces of plastic, like what a water bottle is made of, inside a toy for a dog to chew on is concerning. It would be very easy for any dog to swallow the plastic and that could cause problems.

Cute!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. She loves it. I got it because it looked cute. The “hair” on it feels silky soft, not like the usual plush toys. She’s a tiny dog so it is sturdy and durable for her. I don’t know how well it would stand up to a large dog with strong jaws. My dog happens to be gentle with her toys. Right now she is taking a nap on her piñata, it’s soft enough for that too!

So far so good
So as soon as I took it out of the box I had the urge to smell it, and I was not disappointed because it kind of smells like pineapple/pina colada not really sure which one. Upon further inspection I noticed there is no actual stuffing, which is good because my dog has had bad tummy aches from eating stuffing. It has two layers wrapped around a rubber ball so this toy is going to last forever. The ball squeaks and the pineapple top is crunchy. For my dog I feel like it will be a very durable toy, the only problem that might occur is that hes a corgi/chihuahua mix and I dont thing he will be able to pick it up from the yellow ball part because it's too big. I am currently 12 hours away from him at college so I wont be able to give it to him for another 6 weeks when I go home for winter break. Hopefully I'll remember to update this review.Update: He cannot fit the ball part in his mouth but he does grab it by the green part. He refuses to fetch it when i throw it but he will sit and chew on it. Had to cut off the tag because that was the first thing he focused on.

Thrilling cute toy for your pup that is worth every dime!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Penny and Consuela lasted a couple weeks each. Our Aussie loves to carry them and shake them and throw them to chase them. They last a couple weeks until she gets into their second layer and then they will last a day or two. I always have a replacement ready for her to have. She got the Acorn this week and he lasted about 3 hours before she destuffed him and went to playing with one of the blue spike balls from Penny. If you have a playful dog these toys are great and we will continually buy them because they thrill our girl and are cute non messy toys. We just won’t do the Acorn again cause it was a bit disappointing, but that won’t keep us from purchasing again! We sent a Penny to our dog niece too last month when we bought our girl a replacement and her Penny has lasted a month due to only being carried around by the fronds and light fetch.

The happiest 6 minutes of Tigger's life!
Our 2-year old mutt (pardon me: “mixed breed” of unknown origin) is a monster power chewer, and really deserves a job as a toy tester ... every toy that she has ever gotten has been shredded within minutes. Because of this, she never gets squeaky toys any more, mainly because she is able to de-squeak a toy in a ridiculously short amount of time. I’m sure this is a never-ending source of dismay for her “sister”, Xena, who also never gets squeaky toys because of Tigger's need to kill any squeaky she comes across ... they’re like the squirrels of the toy world, and she wants them all dead. Seeing a squeaky toy for power chewers, and with an inner toy, too, was so exciting! We ordered the acorn for Tigger and the pineapple for Xena, then waited. After a couple of weeks, both toys arrived, and I think I was more excited than the dogs. Until Tigger got her toy, that is, and the howls of laughter began!! They didn’t last, alas, but they were fun while they lasted. It took her six minutes to break through the first layer and festoon our carpets with stuffing. Another two minutes and she had the inner squeaky ball out, too, which was fine. What wasn’t fine was how easily she started chewing the spikes off the ball, leaving little blue nubby bits all over the carpet (and in her poop). All together it took her less than ten minutes to free the ball and start chewing the spikes off of it. I’m dealing with an extreme case, though, so there may be no help for her. She (and her sister) may just have to live a squeak-free life, a sad existence for a dog (or so they tell me, anyways!). A life without squeaky toys??! Say it isn’t so! Maybe someday there will be a toy for power chewers like her, but this one isn’t it, alas.Would be a good choice for dogs that don’t shred every. Darned. Toy. Ever!

Rocco Approves
This is the cutest little toy and Rocco was more than excited. Unfortunately he didn't read the reviews provided by other dogs that it could just be played with and carried around. It took minutes for him to get the outer skin off, and seconds to get the inner skin off. However, the core is a football shaped ball with nubs and an awesome squeaker! This is lasting well, Rocco hasn't been able to damage it at all. He hasn't even been able to destroy the squeaker! Rocco is a large dog of mixed origins, about 90 pounds of lap dog. He loves this toy with his whole heart, carries it everywhere and won't be separated from it. Rocco thinks you should buy this. EDIT 10 MONTHS LATER: Yes, the squeaker is long gone now but makes a satisifying "whoosh" noise when he chomps it. Amazingly the football thing is undamaged!!! I actually can't believe it! He plays with it constantly, lays there chomping on it or demanding to play fetch. This is the first toy I have ever bought for any dog which has actually lasted.

Short lived
We ordered the cactus and the pineapple together. We have 2 westies so toys don't usually last long unless they are made for extreme chewers. Sadly, the cactus lasted about 24 hours before it was torn to pieces. The pineapple has been going 25 days strong which is a record in our house. If you have doggos who play rough, skip the cactus and go with the pineapple!
