Great Writing
“Blood Elves” as a popular term in gaming, only exist on Azeroth. Great sequel to a great book. Protagonist has inner & outer conflicts that drive him through a heroic story arc. However, would be better with more accurate Dungeons & Dragons and Lovecraftian lore.“The Old Gods” are the former pre historic rulers of whatever worlds they are being described. The come from the space between universes/realities instead of haaving their own. Everything created first by HP Lovecraft is public domain. There are other writiers who have added to the lore but, depending on the author and topic, may not be publicIf a writer is going to include mythos & fantasy species from specific other franchises the may want to make the lore more common than just having the same name. It breaks immersion for any reader who already knows the supposedly borrowed lore, think do I.Yet, as said, it is a very satisfying story to read. What more should a reader truly expect…?…Hopefully the author explores other shocking scenarios. Maybe one of the Frost Elves gets pregnant…?… The author can easily write it in such a way as to enhance the plot further. Wealth, wet nurses, et cetera solve a lot of the believability of a positive impact on the story. Why is the protagonist so afraid of being a ‘part’ of government? Separation of Powers is a wonderful concept that has been working comparatively very well IRL.The source of what the protagonist mentions in book 1 is a constitutional republic instead of a democracy. Purely democratic governments are like statist ones in that all known historical examples have eventually failed on a long enough timeline. There is little need to get into the bytes, but maybe be realistic…?…

Fun and definitely NSFW
I wasn't sure what i was getting myself into with this series. It's definitely NSFW so don't just leave the kindle open on your desk if you have nosy neighbors. I have enjoyed the story thus far and am looking forward to the future entries in the series. The character development is good, with enough descriptions to keep you in your imagination without putting in too many details to force your mind somewhere. There are enough MMO/DD references that if you haven't nerded out before odds are they may go over your head. All in all a fun and adult read good to escape for a few hours and let that imagination run.

Do elves have teeny weenies?
Ian, our favorite Warlock, is back in Succubus, Book 2 (Hell To Pay). So is Aleria, our gorgeous and very hot succubus demon. Together with Stig, and a host of pirate demons Ian picked rescuing Aleria, they continue their quest to hunt down and slay Aleria’s past masters. Masters who played with Aleria’s lady bits and did naughty things to them and her. On the way, they overcome one past mistress, whom Ian is forced into some rather hot and steamy threesomes with her and Aleria. Despite his travails and a guilty conscience, the travels and threesomes continue as our band of demon pirates go north into the frozen wasteland of ice goblins and frost elves in search of a past master for Aleria to kill. The frost elves are nymphomaniacs, and their master is one bad ass mo’fo. With a teeny weeny.Markam does a great job with his characters and making us readers fall for Ian and Aleria. Read along with Ian as he struggles his way in and out of threesomes with Aleria and foursomes with frost elves, and he might get sacrificed to the Old Gods for his indiscretions. An easy 5 star read. Warning, once you start the book, don’t plan on anything else until you’re finished.

Educational
The second volume of AJ Markam's Succubus series continues the adventures of Quality Control Technician Ian, who is testing a new virtual reality experience for the fictional OtherWorld game as a Warlock class player, and his beautiful succubus Alaria. To be honest, the second volume wasn't my favorite, but it was still well worth the read.As Ian helps Alaria take revenge upon her former masters who had enslaved and abused her, he's beginning to have issues with Alaria's promiscuity. But he also learns a lot when he confronts Alaria's third master, the villainous Saykir, a Snow Elf who has established his own kingdom in the far north and allows only subservient females around himself, whom he abuses with no regard to their needs or feelings. The Snow Elf females in this kingdom adhere to the religion of the Goddess of Pleasure, Jaiya, whose teachings follow those of real-life sexologist Jaiya Ma. This is the most educational part of the novel, and I took great pleasure myself in the way the author integrated these teachings into his story. As with the first volume, Ian and Alaria are once again put in grave and life-threatening peril, and it's questionable whether they will survive.

Another Great Story
This book has Bad Guys, But a really really Bad Guy this time and of course Good Guys, and everything in between. I have read A.J. Markham book , Succubus: A Christmas Special, but You don't have to read that book in order to understand His first book or the other ones that follow. As soon as I finish this review, I starting Book 2. Well I just finished Book 2, and believe Me it's just as good as His first book. So now it's on to Book 3.If You just want to sit back and enjoy a fantasy book I recommend reading one of A.J. Markam books. Well written & very enjoyable. You can almost picture Yourself there with all of the characters.Have fun & a safe trip.Bye
