THESE ARE NOT TWEETERS, OR SUBS! The people that are calling these tweeters and even subs, have NO CLUE what they are talking about. THESE ARE MIDRANGE SPEAKERS, They are designed to function in the midrange frequecies, thats mid his and mid lows. For lows you need a sub woofer, for highs you need REAL TWEETERS, these are NOT tweeters. I have installed these in two 99 model miatas and there isnt a better speaker that fits the factory hole. These are loud and do exactly what I wanted them to do, they are made with hi quality materials and are loud as hell. The negative reviews dont know what they are doing apparently. These have to be tuned for MIDS, they arent meant to be full range speakers. When you run mids through them at the right power level then they perform as they are advertised and then some. I use a pkir of tweeters for the highs, these for the mids and a 8in sub in a footwell box and i get loud crisp and thumping audio so loud you cant stay in the car with it at the highest levels. I use a 400 watt 4 channel amp for my mids and highs, and a 300 watt mono amp for my sub. Set it up right and you will LOVE these speakers

So I mounted a set of these in my 2010 Challenger dash board. They definitely need a amp to get full crystal clear sound out of them. Tried Hooking them to my alpine deck. Did not sound good scratchy and garbled. I bought a cheap 600 watt 50 watt RMS at 4 ohm amp at Walmart installed that with these speakers. Let’s just say you can’t think about full volume being used now with these. Very crystal clear very loud. Definitely the right upgrade to the stereo. If you want good clear sound and you like your music loud. These are for you. Love them so far. Sound coming off windshield is amazing. They are rather on the large size and definitely took a lot of modifications to get them to fit my cars dash. Unless your pretty handy I would make sure you know where your putting them and if you have room to fit them. I had to pull my dash out of the car to install these correctly. Definitely was worth the effort. Killer speakers. Only thing bad that I won’t mark them down for is I had to get a second set first ones had a bad coil and didn’t work. Kinda sucked After all that time installing. I should of tested them before I installed them. However I have got really good at pulling the dash out now. Lol

They sound amazing, loud and clear. I would definitely recommend them.

These speakers are very loud no mids

1st lemme just say these are competition tweeters. By this I mean for people who are big on car audio & want to be heard from a whole block away. 2nd these things require 50watts rms, meaning that it needs an amp. No my personal opinion after buying them is that they're are amazing. I have 4 Rockford 2-way speakers (p1692) & they require 75watts each. The only down side of the p1692 was that I felt it didn't get those high frequencies the way my 3way pioneers did.. Now I wasn't going to go and replace them and put the pioneers back up because the quality was just much cheaper, so I decided to buy this tweeter and God dammmmmm. I drove around testing it and here's what I noticed. If you're playing the tweeter along with your lows(subs) mids & highs, than it compliments it perfectly and it won't stand out.... BUTTTTT; I tested it alone since my stereo has a built in eq without bass or mids & I thought I was going to go deaf... It's like having your ear right next to a train when the conductor presses the brake and you hear that metal grinding noise. It is really that loud... But like I said, when you have the tweeter playing with the subs, mids and highs it sounds much better, clear, crisp and brings out the "s" or "c" in the vocals... For those with like 1000watt systems, you shouldn't need more than 2 of these

I purchased 4 of these to replace the door speakers in my 2015 Kia Sorento. I replaced the speakers Friday evening and Saturday morning I swapped my factory head unit with a Pioneer nex 1300 and I amplified all 4 speakers with the Rockford Fosgate T400x4ad 4 channel amplifier. The sound is absolutely amazing! Excellent clarity without distortion at high volumes with a ton of bass! I don't need to install any subwoofers because with these speakers amplified it sounds like there is already a subwoofer. Off a head unit they were fair but at 100 watts rms they need to be amplified. You will not be disappointed with these!

Great look and sound , its a big boy

After swapping my head unit from stock to the pioneer nex 1300 and swapping out my 4 door speakers with the rockford fosgate pps4-6 midbass speakers and amplifying them with the rockford fosgate T400x4ad 4 channel amplifier i lost my high notes but gained massive bass. I ordered one of these tweeters as a test to see how much more high notes I would gain back. Mounting this required a hole cut between 4.5 and 5 inches as the magnet was just massive! I ran speaker wire from my amp to my rear hatch and installed the one tweeter in the hatch. I used tin snips to cut out the massive mounting hole and placed it in the middle of my hatch. Its insane how just adding one of these filled my suv with all the high notes I lost. It's ear piercingly loud! I will have to play with the equalizer to lower the high notes a little. If you're looking to add high notes this is the speaker for you. Just know that you'll need a 2.6" mounting depth with a hole roughly between 4.5-5 inches round to fit them.
