Blue Harbor Fish Co. Wild Pink Salmon in Water No Salt Added - 5 oz Can (Pack of 12)

This is a really nice brand of canned salmon, and with no added salt! I always buy many types and brands of canned fish (with no added salt) and this one is really nice! The flavor is consistently mild and very pleasant - non-fishy, although I personally enjoy the flavor of many oily fish too. This fish comes packed in chunks of meat and is light color - don't expect any unnatural color or anything else added here. I now sit outside with my cat and enjoy a can of this salmon with different varieties of great mustards! Unfortunately some of the tastiest mustards are loaded with sodium. Since this is a delicious and healthynew addition to my diet right now, I've just increased my automatic Subscribe & Save shipment.

Canned salmon

This is a great option for a quick snack/meal for cats and dogs alike. I noticed there are some bones here and there, but I would buy again! Very convenient, I love that it only has two ingredients and no oil.

Observations: (1) Sustainably sourced from Alaskan waters, Blue Harbor describes their boneless, skinless pink salmon as "jumbo lump," and it's spot-on; these are large, clean chunks of hand-packed fish -- no cannery shreds or flakes. (2) The absence of added salt allows the elegant, nuanced flavors of the salmon to shine. (3) Withholding that sodium combined with salmon's status as a low-mercury fish empowers this as an upscale pet delicacy for cat or dog. Wonderful, Always fresh and no excess water as a filler.

Looks good, smells good, nice flip-top can, but cannot eat this--metallic aftertaste. Will not order again.
