Powerful, good for small areas
For the money, this is a very good little vacuum. I wish the cord was longer. For a small apartment, on Hardwood and carpet it does good job. No bags to replace but has to be emptied often The cord is cumbersome to Rewind. Easy to store.

Lightweight, maneuverable, reasonably powerful
This is about to become my primary vacuum for picking up (short) hair from the dog. It works great on stairs (hard wood) and reasonably well on shorter carpets. What’s nice is that it has enough power to pull hair from a few inches away, so even if you don’t get right over the hair, you can still get it. Another nice thing is that it’s so small that I was able to partially vacuum the space behind my laundry machine. Convenient enough to easily transport to the office, where the custodial staff basically never vacuum. I tried using the handheld configuration with the crevice tool to dust off other surfaces, and it worked pretty well. Not so great on the shag shower mats in the bathroom. Also doesn’t seem to pick up all of the small, dense, granular dirt on the floor, but I haven’t got a big problem with those in my house. The lack of an upholstery tool or something to vacuum the window blinds means it can’t be my only vacuum cleaner, but I think I will be using it a lot.

Is what it is, at this price...
For the price and proper applications it's good. That being considered, here's the good and bad after about 2 weeks. Since Bad isn't actually bad I'll label bad as consideration:Consideration:1: corded. I knew it was not cordless but considering its a detachable I figured cool..I can use it for the car too. Well the cable is fairly short for that. But an extension cord fixes that. So, consider that.2. It's a cheap vacuum for specific light duty cleaning. I live in a tiny home and have wood flooring with some thin indoor/outdoor style area rugs. Got this for its size and price. Size and price great but this is not an all purpose vacuum. It's for light sand, hair, dirt here and there etc but wouldn't recommend for heavy carpet or large areas. I have a 5 gallon shop vacuum for that stuff. So consider that .3. Small catch container. This isn't an issue but c9nsider having to clean it out fully every use. The design is simple which means it's pretty easy but you might get MAYBE two uses before having to disassemble and clean completely. If not you will lose all suction. The good: price, size, mobility, great for specific uses, works well in car and small spaces, when detached and when the proper attachment is used. No suction when detached unless proper end piece is used.Second surprising good..the powered roller end. This is a huge plus because most models only utilize suction. This has active rollers to help wrangle debris on light carpet and slick flooring. So in summary..it is what it is at this price. :)

Only lasted me about 8 months of VERY LIGHT USE---UPDATED REVIEW**
LATEST UPDATE ON MARCH 18 2025 - I thought I had figured out a way to make this toy vacuum keep working. I unscrewed the part of the vaccuum that holds the motor where the turn brush is. After unscrewing the 8 small screws on the bottom of the machine, and carefully pulling the top portion off and around the battery and roller mechanism: I was able to see where a ton of hair had wrapped around the base, impossible to see unless you take it apart as I did. I did this with success recently and thought I had found a way to extend the life of this toy vacuum beyond the few months it had worked well. Today this pos toy vacuum again stopped working, so I again took it apart to clean out any hair / debris that needed to be cleaned. Put it back together, and it worked for 30 seconds before the roller just stopped working again. I will be throwing this pos toy vacuum in the trash and will buy a real vacuum next time. One that does not crap out after a month's use. Dirt Devil used to be a good brand in the past. Very disappointed in this purchase.I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE DIRT DEVIL VIBE VACUUM UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE MORE HOURS CLEANING THE DARN THING THAN CLEANING YOUR ACTUAL FLOORS OR RUGS.UPDATE - SUCCESS! I got the rolling mechanism working again by taking off the top of the vacuum via the 6 screws located on the bottom w/a phillips screwdriver. There was a ton of hair wrapped around the rotator bar inside the lid on both sides of the spinning bar. After cleaning this on both sides, the vacuum works again. I just googled 'dirt devil vibe rotator stopped spinning' and quickly found an instructional online for this.I have only had this vacuum for 8 months, and the spinning mechanism on the roller has stopped working. I cleaned everything and washed and dried the filter. When I turn it on, the roller will only spin for about 10 seconds before stopping. The vaccuum still has power, but the the roller won't spin. The suction is also very weak. I want to return this for a refund, but I no longer have the box. I'm really disappointed. I don't have a lot of money, and this is a bummer. I've only used it maybe once per week on a oval 4 x 6 short height rug.I will update my review if I have any luck with a return from Dirt Devil for this Dirt Devil Vibe stick vac. Sad face here.*update: no luck with a return, and the vacuum is still broke. Picks up nothing. Was only used very lightly on 1 small rug, and broke after 8 months. I do not recommend buying this.

Light use ONLY!
I've used Dirt Devil for years and haven't really had an issue with them. I'm genuinely disappointed in this one. I still have my non beater-brush DD and it's suction is phenomenal! But that one is also 5+ years old. So I think quality has taken a dip. I had one of the older beater-brush models from years ago and gave it to my dad who has a small apartment and it's just him and his cat. So I got this one. Man has it changed! The cup latch needs focus because it's flimsey. Don't even bother with it if you have pets. It doesn't do a great job on fur. If you're just using the base unit, you must use the funnel attachment or you almost have to smother what you're trying to vacuum up.If you have no pets or kids and just need it for very light cleaning, it's worth it. But otherwise, go with a different brand.
